I haven't had sex with my wife in many years, but this was a real problem toward the end. She used toys while I fucked her and would cum pretty much every time, but I found it harder and harder to reach an orgasm.
Feeling your partner tuning out and waiting for you to finish "your business" sucked and made reaching an orgasm even less likely. More and more toward the end I would finally give up and finish myself off later. Hell, I remember faking an orgasm a time or two.
I think part of the problem was just being with the same partner for 40+ years and part of it was likely too much jerking off and reading porn between times. If this fits your situation as well, abstinence from both may be of help.
The only other advice I can give is to talk to your partner about it (careful not to make it sound like their fault). Let them know that you are concerned and (in my case) a little embarrassed by it. Who knows, they might want to explore ways to help you with that problem. I know I would if it had been her that was having trouble reaching an orgasm.

I don't have that problem. I worry about cumming too fast. Most guys suck better, I'm nervous about getting caught, I worry about losing interest after cumming. I want it to last as long as possible. I don't get away often to play, so I want to take my time. I want to savor the hard cock in my mouth for as long as possible.
