There's a lot of bull on there, but there's some good folks looking for decent relationships, or hookups, too. You just have to sort through the crap to get to the good stuff. My GF and I have talked to a couple of other bis, who were really nice, but too far away. We still may meet sometime.

I don't know much about Craig's list other the fact the site exists---I have never even looked at it---like I have yet to check out Twitter and while I did start a Face Book profile-I haven't been back to it since I did that well over a year ago--I don't recall what name I used, password, etc. but that ain't no sweat since I don't have any plans to go back there----I do like my MySpace site though!

Well I can say from personal experience that I have indeed met some really nice people on CL. I placed a personal add there last fall being VERY specific on what I wanted and more importantly what I was not looking for. I was utterly astounded by the response I received. Had NO clue that a tall chubby blonde would have garnered so many responses. I answered every single response which in and of itself was a feat but I felt the gentlemen deserved a reply. Little by little, after emails getting to know people, we would meet for a drink or coffee. I can say all were pretty nice guys. But I found a diamond in the rough with whom I have a great friendship. He is the first straight man other than my husband I have ever been with and he opened up a whole new world. My advice would be place a well written, clearly defined ad and weed through the response and I hope you will find someone as nice as the fellow I have had the pleasure to be part of my life.

I look at the craigslist all the time. I have never responded to any but the list in my hometown is real short, not much to look at. But if you want to look at a long list of some real "freaks" just look at the Atlanta Ga. list of M4M & W4W list, especially the M4M list. I can't believe some of them and the "request's" that they make! All I can say is that there are some really sick, perverted and nasty people in Atlanta. I have never run into any, like I see described on craigslist, but I do go to Atl. to play, frequently.

Ya ive tried to respond to someone on craigs and they were all fake. I did this from like two months with no success. I finally posted an ad and waited for responses and hooked up with a hot bi guy (im also a bi male) who was into the same things i was (kissing and JO only) and he only lives like 3 minutes away from me. He was really random and hot. I posted the ad and like literally 3 hrs later i was in a car with a hot guy making out and JO each other. I never expected it.

We've placed an ad and answered some but most of the people in CL are fakes, bots, pic collectors. Im thinking about joining adultfriendfinder but im not sure also if it is worth it. Have not had much success on Craig. Most will email for a short time and then dissapear. Others are bots just trying to get something. The W4M section is a huge joke, almost everyone is a bot or scam wanting something from you.

I think most are sincere when they either post or answer and then get cold feet later on.

However, I did meet one person that turned out to be real and clean.

Just be careful with Craigslist. Use common sense. I hear over the tv news in this economy, thief are targeting innocent people. One was a buyer who wanted to buy a used car and got stab instead.

But we have had a bit of good luck there. Although at first when we started to using it we didn't. But then I figured out how to word things a bit more and put in as much detail of what we were looking for as possable and it seemed to start working. Any way good luck to ya.

I've just started using craigslist this year and it can be good for hooking up but it rarely is. I found (in my area at least) that almost all of the girls are bots trying to get you to sign up for a phoney dating site for your crdit card number. And with the dozens of people I started messaging back and forth with, I only ended up meeting one boy my age. We had fun, and it was totally worth the months of using the site, but it was a long wait for someone real and serious about meeting up.

They've made it even a little more complicated now.You actually have to open an account with Craigslist to post an ad. It's still pretty simple (and, no, I didn't post a personal. I posted an ad for a plant sale). They require you verify your account, too, by receiving an automated call from them.

I forget exactly how it worked but I believe you supply them with your phone number. You get an almost immediate phone call and, upon answering, are given a verification number. Then, you go back to the form you were working on and insert your verification numbers on the form. Then they e- mail you and you have to verify the e-mail address by clicking on a link and you're done.

I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't get rid of at least a few of the flakes hanging out on Craigslist, but it won't get rid of all of them.

And, FWIW, I've done ok on CL, both with hook ups and even met one guy I really would of liked to see again. That one didn't work out.

I have also hooked up on CL cpl of times, But am careful, allot of spammers, info, pix collectors. I never give out detailed personal info until after talking on phone . . . . and getting their #. Its already been said here use common sense. . . and set up a separate email account for your "playtime" stuff !!! DO NOT RESPOND to automated replies . . . ask cpl of questions in first emails that only someone that lives in your area would know, if it takes a long time for them to reply thy may have researched it so keep that in mind. Don't forget about google "street view" . . . .

Craig's is like anything else on line. You have to be aware. I've traded cars, motorcycles, gave away some furniture and talked to a few people. Yes there are real people on there.
