1986 to 1984, combat medic with jump wings US Army
US Army, 66-69. Hats off to all who served and a solemn salute to those who gave all.

i am a proud marine corps veteran. two years in the corps , and 13 months in vietnam. God bless all you vets . i love this country more than words can express !
Army 75-78.
USMC 74-78
Army national guard, including tours in Iraq and Afghanistan (‘04-‘05, then ‘07-‘08).
Memorial Day isn’t for us who survived, it’s for the brothers and sisters who didn’t.
Not a veteran, but grateful to those who sacrificed for the rest of us. Thanks to all who have served honorably and helped kept us free!
USMC 1970 to 1974
Served in the Navy 83-87 but spent most of it as a Navy medic for the Marines. Remember the fallen!
1965 - 1967 Army Fort Dix and Fort Ord Calif had a lot of fun
USMC 66 - 75 helicopter pilot during Vietnam - can't forget those lost or left behind.
12 1/2 years 1974 to 1987. Bomber crew chief in SAC and retrained to communications. Remember all those who served in combat and especially those who gave their lives to defend us all.
USN 1975-81. Tin Can sailor, Engineering
I was on a SAC base as well, worked in AMS in the Comm/Nav/Doppler shop. Had some good times in the military, was proud to serve and enjoyed my time, for the most part.Originally Posted by mnjack

The lessons learned from you guys, are the things that kept my skinny ass and my peoples asses alive. My father did two tours over there

10 years as a Royal Marine Commando ,
Air Force, 87 to 97. I wonder if we crossed paths along the way?
Maybe missed opportunities? lol
I served in the U.S. Army. Went to Desert Storm (68W) and got out shortly afterwards.
US Army 85-91
USMC 77-85
3 years NYARNG then 2 years Army active. Between 90-95.
never found a safe playmate
US Army '59-'62 Regensburg Germany and Fort Knox, Ky.
USAF '63-'67. Langley AFB, Virginia...best vacation I ever had!
The only time I ever got shot at, was while stealing Watermelons, at 16 years old!
I was exceedingly lucky, through 7 years of service as a mechanic in both services. Some friends never made it back from Vietnam, or returned as shells of their former selves. God bless them for all they gave...…. for little pay, benefits, or appreciation!
I think the bravest guys I ever knew were medics and the pilots who fly in harm's way, to save others!
FOR BITY ME: At Langley AFB, there was a sign that had been covertly placed in a chopper hangar, supposedly by fighter pilots...it read....
An aircraft, with wings that are faster than the fuselage, is a helicopter, therefore unsafe!

USAF 83-88
I served in the RNZAF Royal New zealand armed forces in the 90s, sergeant and served overseas in a capacity I can not go into because of confidentiality
step father was victor 6 company in vietnam, grandfather was NZ 23rd battalion on ww2
Every day, I am thankful for those that served, and those that waited at home with open arms... I mourn those that did not come home and cry beside those that will always have empty arms....
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.
Lest we forget
The only thing more painful than a broken heart, is catching yourself in your zip and having very cold hands
Active Army 86-89, Army Reserves 1990-??? never played while I was active.......keep this and military separate......
