Well my suggestion is home made chicken soup. First roast the split pieces of chicken in the oven with olive oil, salt,pepper and veggies. When done take off all the meat and save. Put the bones into make a stock with onions, carrots, celery, bay,thyme, rosemary and LOTS of garlic. When the stock is made, drain the liquid from the bones and discard the bones. Add the cooled chicken cooked earlier, add fresh or frozen veggies of our choice and enjoy.
Opps I almost forgot the secret ingredient....Curry, which ever you fancy. It impart all the magical ingredients to cure you cold. Or if that does not suit you add fresh ginger in moderation, chili peppers and cilantro and that will work too.
