I wanted to know how do you get your husband to try the bi seen. We always talk about it but he says he would have to be total drunk . I have noticed since I have been a member of this site, that there are a large number of people both straight, and gay/lesbian, who feel that bisexuality is not a legitimate sexual orientation. It seems that people are either skeptical of the term/usage, or seem offended by the idea/concept all together. Some even go as far as to say that those who claim bisexuality are, in fact, lying or closeted about their true sexual nature, which would be homosexuality. Seriously?!?!? I am also noticing a large number of people using the phrase "and now we have this 'bisexual thing'..." So, am I correct in concluding that bisexuality is a "new" thing? Seriously? I am almost 42 years old. I can remember hearing about bisexual orientations as far back as I can remember hearing about sex. As a matter of fact, the "Health" (politically stupid term for "Sex Education") teacher I had in 7th grade was bisexual and explained this to us one day, which mainly generated giggles and lots of "out of classroom" comments and teasing from those who just have no clue how to react to something they don't understand, but some of us actually learned a thing or two that day. I knew what bisexuality was before I knew what gay/lesbian meant. I knew three "out of closet" bisexual adults before I knew a single gay/lesbian person. So how is it that "this bisexual thing" is seeming to be so new to so many people? The actual term bisexual was coined in the 19th century along with hetero and homo terms. Bisexuality has been observed in various human societies as well as elsewhere in the animal kingdom throughout [I][B]recorded[/B][/I] history, including biblical references. And yet it is such a new and shocking term/idea? I'd like to open a discussion here and ask (although this would be a rather biased blog considering the hosting site is Bisexual.com, thus meaning the majority of those who will read and respond to this posting are, at least "claiming" to be, and most likely are actually, bisexual) "What is it that bothers people so much about bisexuality?" As a sub-inquiry/topic, I would like to add the question "Since when is bisexuality a new thing and why do people seem so shocked about it, especially in this day and age, with so many things relating to gay/lesbian rights and laws making their way into everyday life?" I myself am bi-curious, just awaiting the event that kills the curiosity and adjusts the orientation title properly to state bisexual. I like having sex with both male and female partners. If I had to claim either hetero or homosexuality and could not claim bi, it would have to depend on the basis for the claim. Physical attraction is mainly hetero. I do not find much physically attractive about the male body, but the female body turns me on completely. Romantic attraction is purely hetero. I do not want, nor consider, a romantic relationship with another male. However!!! A TS/TG M2F would score in both physical and romantic attractions! The only attraction I have to males is sexual, anal receiving and oral giving. Don't need it the other way around but will oblige the right partner. I don't do the make out thing, kissing, serious kink, etc. The only other thing I add to my list of orientations is CD. So, hey... instead of "lying" about being bisexual, maybe I am TS/TG-curious? Maybe deep down someplace hidden where even "Scotty don't know" I actually want to be female? And since I mostly attract physically, romantically, and sexually to females, that would place me in TS/TG-lesbian-curious? But being as that I still want to have certain sexual encounters specifically with a male, that would bring me full circle to bisexual! No matter what, I like sex with both sexes! Isn't that what Bisexual means? Well thanks to the Affordable Care Act I'm entitled to free insurance starting in January to go with my Medicare. However, I was told I'd need to get prescription drug coverage from Medicare. Just call give list of medicines and they can come up with a plan... was going great til I mentioned Symbicort. Doc wants me to start taking that as a maintenance med for COPD and it's 283.00. Medicare part D would cost me 80 a month, 300 deductible and a 90 dollar copay all in all no savings more than they free card they give you to get a discount with no insurance. I did get rather lucky though and followed up with the pharmaceutical company AstraZenica and found out I qualify to get Symbicort for free. So in the end the ACA isn't gonna help much til next year and jury is out as to whether it will help pay for drugs. But the "greedy" pharmaceutical company is making sure I have a chance to keep breathing for free. So if you have high dollar meds, check with the companies themselves. It can save you a bit of money.
