Ah, so you too, have seen the video, Fran. For the life of me, I cannot understand why, a middleaged woman, who appears (from the brief interviewing of her), to be a very normal, very well spoken and very ordinary person, should do such a thing. Watching the video, it does look like one of those weird, spur of the moment things, which people (usually kids), will do. You can see her look at the wheelie bin and almost watch that sudden thought, come into her head.

A very sad thing to happen, because the woman has probably never done such a stupid thing before and to do such a thing, certainly does not indicate mental illness, just a sudden and very stupid action. Well, she is already being punished for it, even before Police and RSPCA investigations have ended. No doubt the RSPCA will take her to court and a fine will be paid, but I think her own conscience will punish her, far more than anything else.

What I can't understand, is why the owner of the cat, did not go directly to the Police, but instead, put the video footage on Facebook ''to find out who she was.'' All that has done, is bring the real oddballs out of the woodwork, to threaten the woman's life.

Being a person who is very fond of cats, I cannot understand why the woman should tell a daily rag ''It's only a cat.'' Heck, it's a living thing, as precious as any other living thing, But, I also don't understand the mentality of people, who will threaten her life, or believe that a violent attack upon the woman's person is deserved.

A sweet little tabby cat, too. Most cats are friendly and have pleasant dispositions. Only the odd one, here and there will be unfriendly. But, I'm biased, I like cats. I'm just glad that Lola was OK!

I also had a cat, which liked water and was known to jump into any large container, housing any. We used to find foot prints upon the porcelain, in the bathroom, too. Yep, she liked to drink water from there. She must have thought it was her own, very personal watering hole. Weird thing is, she always had a fresh bowl of water, from which to drink. Guess it wasn't as exciting.
