I'm newly out of the closet, and only to a few people not on here, and am looking for books that specifically discuss being bi. I'm reading, A Place at the Table by Bruce Bawer, which is about being gay in America. It's great, but so far all about being gay, no mention of being bi. I would love some books that talk about being bi from a thoughtful point of view and which discuss current issues, real peoples experiences, and life as a bi person in today's society. Any suggestions?

No real suggestions as such but a note to say that sounds like a good idea. Some of us on board here do write. I once completed a 90,000 word horror novel, which sadly got lost due to moving and the storage medium being destroyed. Presently, I am working to recreate that story. It is a complete rewrite as I'm sure the draft needed revision at any given.

There is a possibility it may broach upon bisexuality, although it is going to be a work of fiction. Can not give assurances of when it will be completed. I'm also starting a full time job again on Monday, so writing may come after 3 AM and only last an hour or so each day. I used to hammer out about 2,000 words a day if that gives you a rough estimate, so be it.

Again, this will be something of a horror story also involving a serial killer. The protagonist may offer a subtle glimpse into life as a bisexual man. But again I hesitate to commit anything, it is a work in progress of yet.

Run 'er slow.

I've read the Bisexual's Guide to the Universe, which I found rather a fun and nice light read.

...while i am all for reading, in any media, as well as being educated, i am sure there are many insightful tomes realted to your interest; however, i would suggest reading the threads here, not only for each and every person's individual experiences, but more meaningfully, real life experiences!

I have to agree with books mentioned above....particularly Vice Versa: Bisexuality and the Eroticism of Everyday Life by Marjorie Garber. It is loaded and also covers a lot historically too about many well known people who were bi....this should help and inspire you. It certainly did for me to accept my bi-ness more....good luck.
