I normally hate the Daily Mail - it's a middle-class, right-wing, tabloid pretending to be serious newspaper, where everything is the fault of immigrants/teenage single mothers/gay people/(whatever the latest thing to offend bored suburban housewives is)....

I had a black and tan dachshund. She wanted a piece of our neighbor's cat in the worst way. I kept telling her that she really didn't wanna get into a scrap with a cat, but she would not listen. One day, I heard her yelling for mercy...she'd caught the cat away from any tree, or bushes....bad mistake!

The cat proceeded to scratch my poor little dog from one end of her body to the other. Luckily, she survived, but carried scars from that encounter for the rest of her life.

A couple of months later, during a cold day, I looked outside and there the two were, laying out in the sun, snuggled as close to each other as they could get.

All was forgotten and forgiven.
