Frank Frazetta, an illustrator whose vivid colors and striking brushstrokes conjured up fantastic worlds of musclebound heroes fighting with broad swords and battle axes to defend helpless women from horrible beasts, died on Monday in Fort Myers, Fla. He was 82.

His art work was amazing!

I especially loved the voluptuousness of the ladies he drew.

The color and light was fantastic, as well as the animals and scenery.

I did not know of him personally--but I knew his work and that of those who he inspired---I do love that kind of artwork----it may not be everyone's cup of tea--but I have always thought it to be very cool and beautful stuff.

May he rest in peace.

Many of us knew him through his work. I didn't always like his work, but it was still good art.

Both the wife and I have pretty good sized files of his work as well as a book of his works.

Oh well, no one lives forever in the physical world, but he will live forever through his art.

On a related note, Lena Horne died yesterday. Another talent that will also be missed.
