So...I'm really kinda of obsessed with industrial bands right now. Rediscovering them really. I'm a recovering Goth, but I still love the scene's music.

I downloading a Combichrist album a few days ago and I'm still trying to decide if I like them or not. They're a bit too much like KMFDM for my taste. Mind you, I love KMFDM but it's like...Why listen to a copycat, even if it's a passably entertaining rip-off. Hmm....

Cruising on Tagged made me come across a song attached to this cute little Aztec looking SytarBull(sp) in a sarong who is dancing. (I dont know, I just saw it there!!) and the song is Rise up. (My dream is to fly over a rainbow so high.)
At first the song was annoying, until I started looking at the profile and heard more of the song. Now I get the damn thing stuck in my head and wound up downloading it from Limewire...lol. I think most of it was watching that blasted little icon thingie first...lol

So seriously...I think I've come to the realization that I fucking love KMFDM and all that good, old industrial that was on the underground in the 80s. Combichrist is ok, too, but I think I only like them because it's all so familiar. Back when I was a Goth, I used to go to the clubs in New Orleans (before Katrina) and when I listen to Combichrist I can vividly picture the smoky bar, extremely dim lighting, tiny ass dance floor, and the rivitheads turning a dance into violence.
