This is actually a series I stumbled upon when I was bored on Facebook one day. The series itself is not expensively done, and reminded me a lot of the old Star Trek. Having been a fan and wanting to see something futuristic and new, I was surprised to find that the series itself is amazingly open!
By open I mean, the entire series seems free of cloying sexual roles! My first peek at this was when one of the male cadets apparently was told his crush on the main actor was useless, not because he was likely to be rebuffed for any reason like homophobia, but because "He's out of your league".
Amazed I continued to follow the series and sure enough, a sweet kiss shared by the two later popped my eyes wide and made my jaw drop!
YES! Finally series from the future that includes us!
