Be careful out there folks!
The body of a trans woman was found decapitated in Chihuahua, Mexico. Her body was found a kilometer away from her head. Authorities believe she was still alive during the decapitation because fear was frozen on her face.

And in other news
Officer who held Duanna Johnson down testifies
It's been almost two years since that disturbing video of one cop holding down while another cop beat a black trans woman, sending her to the hospital, was released. Both cops were fired and Duanna Johnson was later found dead in an unrelated murder.
As you may recall, the officer who beat Johnson filed an assault charge against her even after he used the handcuffs as brass knuckles, had his buddy hold her down, and pepper sprayed her...
Well, former officer Swain testified both that the "beat down" was one-sided (as the video showed) and that he had initially lied about it to protect his cop buddy. This is exactly why police shouldn't be policed only through internal investigations, a lesson other people who are the victims of police violence learned too late.

Such terrible events have been happening throughout recorded and unrecorded history, but this does not make them any less ghastly today, as they would have been in years gone by.
A similar death was experienced, by a girl who attended my high school, although I did not hear about it, until some years had passed. This was not the death of a transgender woman, or racially motivated etc, one can only think that the murderer, was in some way mentally ill.
''Chodge,'' as everyone called the young lady, was a couple of years ahead of my friends and myself. She was known by that nickname, due to her surname, which was Polish, her parents being from Poland. ''Chodge,'' as I remember her, was very pretty, with long, dark brown hair. She was a quiet girl, well liked and a much adored daughter.
She went off to university, like so many of her friends and she was a good student, an intelligent girl. One day she was studying for examinations and her study was being disturbed, by the loud music, coming from the room of a student, on the next floor of the student accomodation.
So ''Chodge,'' went down to the lower floor, to ask him to turn his music down. The young man was not pleased to see her and slammed the door, literally in her face and she must have fallen to the ground. Why he did what he did, I do not know, I never knew the whole story, but he thought he had killed her.
Thinking he had killed her, he did not do what most sane people would have done, and phone for the emergency services. No, he did not do that. He decapitated her. There my knowledge of what he did with the body etc, comes to an end. Although I do know that a post mortem examination of her body, was able to prove that she had been alive, when decapitated.
Therefore it does not surprise me, to read, that the transgender woman in Mexico, may have been alive at the time of the decapitation. At least ''Chodge.'' was unconscious. I pray god, that she felt no pain.
Such terrible things happen, out of hatred, out of fear of what may already have been done, out of beliefs that have become warped and misguided.
May the lady in Mexico rest in peace. Indeed, a shocking and terrible thing to happen.

Well--sorry to say--don't expect any sort of arrest to be made in this case---the Mexican Army has basically taken over policing those border areas in Mexico and yet the level of violence just keeps going up--in Ciudad Juarez---something like 7000 people have been killed there in the last 18 months or so--the death toll is almost up to 2000 since the beginning of 2010 there--that makes the kill rate in Afghanistan and Iraq of our troops look like almost nil in comparison---for all practical purpose----the rule of law in many areas of Mexico has gone by the wayside and its the law of the jungle that has taken over.

Just a few stories I found on this, there are plenty more.
