Better company I have never had

Many thanks go out to all who responded either privately or publicly to my thread.

In response to your heartfelt and more often sound advice and support, I have penned this:

Breathing softly, gently
Humidity that would make flesh melt
Ambling along, caught in a downpour
Stumbling to run, rocks splitting open my feet.

Pelting rain slapping the ground
Penetrating, making steam rise
Sobbing, tears staining my face
Glowing skin aflush with chaos.

Leaving a crimson trail I drive
Shielding my raw, stinging eyes
Spying a delicious reprieve
Flinging myself towards the lifeline.

Releasing breaths of toxic air
Blistering heat forced through my throat
Hurriedly my heart beats
Slowing down, I look about.

I owe you my salvation
Think nothing of it you reply
The company we keep shall not define us
But comfort us in sadness and delight in your joy.

Due to your support, I have contacted what I believe is a competent counselor and I have done the very thing that I have been dreading...taking the first step.
