A few months ago I was elected to the board that puts on our local PRIDE event. For those in attendance I thought I would put together a short “Did you know” GLBT history. I seriously doubt many will bother to read it, but I am still going to have it displayed.
I am wondering if anyone knows of any good GLBT trivia or points of interest. Local or international. Also I would really appreciate anything of interest about bisexuals and trangendered persons, as I am having trouble finding things of interest.
Thank you.

Take a look at:
http://www.biwriters.org/pages/famousbisexualsI.html This is always fun.
You might also try the Yahoo Group BiNetUSA. There was some chatter in the past few years about work being done on documenting the bisexual history of the 60's/70's/80's/90's etc. from the people that MADE the history. Join, search, post.... it may already be done.

How about the fact that one of the main people at the stonewall riots was Bi and trans - Silvia Rivera (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sylvia_Rivera)
How about how a Bisexual woman first set up Pride in the first place. Brenda Howard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brenda_Howard) and http://www.brendahoward.org/
How about bisexual writer/activist Stephen Donaldson (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Donaldson_%28activist%29)
Now these are all activists but for historical bisexuals
Lord Byron (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Gordon_Byron,_6th_Baron_Byron) , Alfred Kinsey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_Kinsey), Alexander the great (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_the_great).
Virginia Woolf
(http://bisexuality.wikia.com/wiki/Virginia_Woolf)
As far as famous trans folk
One could say that Joan of Arc was transgendered
Chevalier d'Eon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevalier_d%27Eon)
also there was the Sir Ewan Forbes, 11th Baronet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sir_Ewan_Forbes,_11th_Baronet)
and Lynne Conway (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lynn_Conway)
You can find more information about famous/successful transwomen here: http://ai.eecs.umich.edu/people/conway/TSsuccesses/TSsuccesses.html
And famous/successful transmen here:
http://ai.eecs.umich.edu/people/conway/TSsuccesses/TransMen.html
Hope that helps!
Good luck!

Here is an interesting bit of historical BI trivial.
Besides the well documented evidence of Alexander's Bisexuality, in ancient Greece, it was very common for married men to have male, rather than female, lovers on the side.
That could be where some people get the idea that same sex isn't cheating. Not sure if it is that or something similar in more recent culture, but it is an interesting thing to point out.
