An Indian man is suing the makers of Lynx deodorant after he failed to get a girlfriend despite using their products for seven years.

Vaibhav Bedi, 26, is demanding Unilever pay him $91,000 as compensation for the "depression and psychological damage" caused by a lack of any "Lynx effect", the Daily Record reports.

Scantily-clad women throwing themselves at men wearing Lynx has long been a key feature of advertisements for the deodorant, which is marketed as Axe in India.

"The company cheated me because in its advertisements, it says women will be attracted to you if you use Axe ... I used it for seven years but no girl came to me," Mr Bedi said in his court petition.

A court in New Delhi has accepted half-used body washes, shampoos, anti-perspirants and hair gels for forensic testing.

Unilever has refused to comment on the lawsuit.

Mr Bedi's lawyer Ram Jethmalani said it would be in Unilever's best interests to settle out of court.

"There is no data to substantiate the supposition that unattractive and unintelligent men don't attract women," the Daily Record quoted him as saying.

"In fact, some of the best looking women have been known to marry and date absolutely ghoulish guys."

But... but... if the TV says it happens, it MUST be true... right? :)

And to think that some people scald themselves with coffee so they can get a free ride. We need to stop paying taxes and think more along the lines of who is misleading us. Hmmmm.......that sweet smelling toilet paper doesn't seem to work! VIOLA.....we have a shitty situation here. Time to call Goldberg & Greenburg.

Here's another lovely lawsuit :

The Patch family argued aluminum bats are dangerous because they cause the ball to travel faster than those hit off wooden bats. They said Brandon did not have enough time to react after the ball was hit.

Although the jury did award the Patch family money saying that H&B failed to place warning labels on the aluminum bats, they also said the bat was not defective.

I hate to sound callous, but it's not like a warning label would have saved lives here. And there's no warning on the baseball either, why not sue the ball makers?

Kind of like the lawsuit that caused McDonald's to put the warning on the coffee cups because someone burned themselves on HOT coffee...

Actually, the woman who sued McDonalds allegedly had large second degree burns.

roflmao...... its a lil like the exercise machines that offer you firmer hips buns and thighs or the beauty products that that can make you look younger.....

its not misleading at all... you just need to be naturally slim and toned with a nice body and on the right diet with a semi active lifestyle first, to see the results they show on the tv, or with beauty products you need the right lighting and hair style and skin type, and the right skin issues, to get the best results...... but that is not included in the purchase price

as for the indian guy suing over the lynx / axe products.... lol.... its possible there were plenty of ladies that went up to him.... but he may have had a unreal idea of what constituted a lady going up to him.....

Well there's his problem - you can't attract a COUGAR with the scent of a Lynx now can you?

True, but how stupid do you have to be to put hot coffee between your legs in a paper cup and drive with it there?

More importantly, how stupid do you have to be to need a warning label on a chainsaw to tell you to NOT try to stop the chain with your hands?

We are entering the beginning of the idiocracy.
