Do stay as far from those critters as you can-they get pretty mean during the rut!!! Those horny as hell bull Elks!! :bigrin::bigrin:

Looks like beautiful country. I would not have gotten that close to the elk to photograph him. I hope you had a telephoto lense.

I did try to stay as far away as possible, but still able to get the shot. These were taken from the road, in fact. I am well aware of just how dangerous these criters can be, so I take due care when photographing them.
