I have no idea why anyone would want to do such an impolite and irritating thing. Personally, I've learned to ignore them. Any response just adds to their reason for existing.
The same goes with those who post redundant issues, or things I'm not interested in. If I find it disgusting, or goes against things I believe, I see no reason to call them names, or slander them....I just move on...usually. Sometimes, I can't help myself and say something, but usually realize it's a fruitless exercise to get involved.

I believe Joe posted this picture before, but it does sum things up beautifully.

Anonymity gives people power, so when you add the power of anonymity to some coward who is unable to productively and positively contribute..........well, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
It's like the condo commandos. Tiny power given to tiny people who lack the discipline and wisdom to wield it responsibly and in a socially acceptable manner.

Hahaha! I love that picture. Its so true. Sad but true.
I have to say I'm really getting sick of people using the forums as their personal battle grounds, especially when a thread started out as a legitimate question. How sad is it that people are coming to this site sometimes looking for help and instead of helpful answers people are using their threads for personal attacks.
If people really feel the need to fight I wish they'd choose a less public place to do so but I suppose it'd defeat the purpose if there wasn't an audience. At the end of the day I just ignore them and whatever they have to say.

I am on a forum board of (usually) professional people. Every now and then a jerk comes on and leaves smart butt answers. I hit the kill button whenever I see a pattern developing.
The best way to deal with them is just ignore them. Jerks love it when you get your blood pressure up.

People do it for the hard-on. They post something stupid, you say something intelligent, they jack off to it.
Well, that's what I *think* they do anyway. They seem to enjoy it.
