Cool story!

When I was a kid, my dad met a fellow, who was a grew member on a B-17, during WWII. He was the only survivor when the plane was shot down.

He was hiding in a French barn and a little girl was stealing food for him. He finally escaped, with the help of the French underground, and returned to the fight. After the war, he went back to France, looking for the farm and the little girl; she survived. Then, he learned that the girl's family were distant cousins!
