I was talking with a friend who said whenever she has sex with someone new she likes to be high, and for them to be high, too. I have never done drugs except alchohol, and that in moderation. SO I have to ask, what's the attraction? How many folks on here use drugs when they have sex?

Not us. If a person needs to get high to enjoy something, then someone needs to do some heavy duty work on themselves.

Absolutely no drugs for me!
I want to be totally aware and thinking clearly, when I experience anything as sublime as sex and the emotions with a lover.
I tried MJ, back in the '60a..........never felt it enhanced my feelings at all. Only made me hungry as hell!

This is a sticky area. It really depends on the individual.
Throughout the ages people from various faiths and personal philosophies have used drugs effectively during sex for various reasons. Just about every culture on the planet has some history or lineage involving it, most notably the Tantrik practices of the middle east. In short, it results in increased and altered sensations.
Some people feel that introducing drugs into the mix is dangerous because it can affect your judgment. This can be quite true. However, most people also expect folks to have already established trust with a new play partner *before* the clothes ever come off. If that's been done, then the addition of drugs may not be a big deal.
As an example, take alcohol: it's a drug by any definition; a LOT of people use it to effectively help break the ice when getting started in a new play situation. Yes, a lot of people abuse it, but a lot of people also use it without it ultimately having been a mistake or cause for regret later. It depends on the person, the situation and how the substance itself is being used.
If you're comfortable and familiar with the substance and feel you can use it responsibly, then it's up to you.

About the only good thing about alcohol for me is that I sometimes have a little more staying power and don't blow my load so quick. Other than that, no, and I don't drink with sex in mind. Sometimes it's just ended up that way.

Perhaps a tinch of alcohol makes me a little braver to experiment but otherwise no additives for me. It lessens the intensity of my orgasm.. and I'll have NONE of that!

never done drugs, never seen any appeal; and when I was able to drink, I often avoided it if I wanted sex as alcohol tended to make things floppy.
Now I don't drink which has removed even that small hurdle.

Thanks for the answers. I was starting to think I was a hopelessly repressed victim of mediocrity or something. I'm happy to learn that that isn't true. I live in the country without TV, and I sometimes I feel like I'm missing out. Mostly though, I feel that others rely on TV and movies to guide their lives too much.

I never used anything except some MJ and alcohol. I have not used MJ since the 1980's and only did it then because it made my date horny. I do like a little wine or mixed drink with sex, but can do without it. Plus I would rather remember the experience from beginning to the final climax. :bipride::male::male::male:

Did you all ever see Bill Cosby's stand-up routine "Himself" ? There's this portion where he talks about people doing drugs that's funny.
"What is it about doing Cocaine that makes it so wonderful?"
"Well, It intensifies your personality."
"Yes, but what if you're an asshole??!"

Personally I like the ones about the Dentist and the Chocolate Cake a whole lot better though.

I enjoy drinking alcohol in moderation because it helps me relax to the max.
But, when I have sex, I want to be totally aware and in control of the pleasure I give and the pleasure I get. That is just so great!
No drugs or alcohol for me when I have sex.
It would definitely detract from the sexual pleasure of both.

The medical values of modest amounts of Marijuana have been used spiritually by couples for thousands of years in positive ways and can help relax and increase the sexual appetite in couples without interfering with desire, motor skills or acquiring a spiritual sexual connection. Good sex can be euphoric and marijuana blends well with out interfering or being the focus of the connection as in such drugs as alcohol.

Maybe a drink or two to get loose, anymore than that tends to desensitize
my erotic feelings. It does however, loosen my anxieties and relaxes me.
420 on the other hand, I feel immediately in my loins. For some reason it relaxes me but intensifies the physical acts of sex.
Besides if you get the munchies....you have a healthy low calorie snack right beside you.
