There is something else I have noticed with the "troll phenomenon"---you will see some sort of crazy sexual question posted by someone who is a new or relatively new "person"--if you go check their profiles---they are pretty vague and don't contain much information about that person to be of any real utility.

Then--you start to read some of the crazy responses---you go and check out the profiles of those people--once again it often seems--they are people who haven't been around very long and they don't post up too much on the board or ever go chat--and of the posts they did-they are seemingly of a negative nature too.

You have to wonder--is it the nature of this site to attract so many people who act in the same sorts of ways, have the same "fixations" as expressed by the topics they chose to respond to and in the things they say???

Can we really believe that is such a coincidence???

Just some questions that have come to my mind---I just wondered if others have noticed this as well?

I've noticed it, too. At this point, I'm wary of anybody with those types of posts and less than seventy posts total or so- not decided about them, but definitely wary.

I am relatively new to this (or any other, for that matter) site, but I can assure that I am a real person with only one profile. I go to the chat room quite frequently to speak with several people who have demonstrated a genuine desire to make friends. I live in a rural area and my budget (as a starving artist) does not let me get out to meet other like minded people very much. This site has been a very good experience for me overall and I plan on staying a member. I do not have any pictures posted of my self for a

Sorry, I hit the wrong button, I have two reasons for not posting pictures. First, I value my privvacy, and second, I feel uncomfortable posting pictures of my anatomy. I have a decent physique , but I am not looking for a hook-up, and that type of photo seems to attract the wrong type of individual for me.
As far as posting goes in the forum, i read almost all of them but only respond to those I feel I can make a contribution to. there has been a lot of negativity in the past week or so by several individuals, and I feel it is sad that they have been hurt so much in life. But live and let live is my belief, they can not hurt me with words, I learned a long time ago that you only have as much freedom as you allow your adversaries, and tolerance comes at a price. That price is allowing for the shortcomming of others who are intelligent but less enlightened.
I will get off of my soapbox and go on with the day. It is an interesting site despite the occasional disruption by these sad people, one day they grow into the kind of person they envision themsellves ( or in this case , self) and be a part of this community.
I do enjoy your post 12volt and can only encourage you to continue with intelligent dialog and not lower yourself to the base level of these individuals.
