I was watching a show tonight, with Rita McNeil and the Men of the Deeps. They are well known in the maritimes of Canada, not so much outside. For background, she is an award winning singer, East Coast Music Awards. The Men of the Deep are ex-coalminers who formed a choir as the mines shut down. As I watched tonight, I did feel a tear as the men sang from experience. This is just one of their songs, two versions, as well as something else I found.
