I dont even think to judge any other races as cute or ugly, I only notice the white guys.

I understand where you're coming from. I was much the same way, including a distaste/lack-of-reaction to porn with only african-americans in it. A large part of that came from the fact that where I was growing up was virtually devoid of black folks outside out a handful of families. I spent most of my time around white people, which logically resulted in my developing sexuality imprinting on them because they were the people I was physically involved with at the time.

As I grew up I realized that I was not into most of the things that main stream 'black' culture was. That only further alienated me from it. As I was perfectly comfortable with the sex/social life that I did have, it never really dawned on me to go looking for people who had similar personalities specifically because they were black. Anyway, the few times I did, things didn't turn out terribly well. Just because they were black and fairly like me didn't mean we were actually attracted to one another like that.

I pretty much let it ride and chalked up preferring caucasians to being just the way I was; I was never short of partners and nobody seemed to be complaining.

Recently, I got the chance to get involved with a friend of mine who turned out to be bi-curious and happens to be black. At first, being out of my assumed 'comfort zone' was weird. But, I chose to let that go and got down to sucking dick. Things went well and the personalities that had made us friends in the first place weren't really affected. After having had positive experiences, it's really not an issue anymore.

I have found it to be VERY common.

I have heard many, many black guys say it and I have dated many black guys who say they can't understand why other black guys won't date them or that they themselves will not date other black guys.

But, there are many people that aren't attracted to certain people of other ethnic backgrounds as well such as Asian, white, etc. People like what they like.

Of course, there are often very real physical differences between races too.

I also wonder it it could also be based in some instances partially in cultural acceptance or non-acceptance of same-sex relationships. The black and Hispanic/Latino/Cuban/Puerto Rican communities are not, historically, as accepting as others. It might be interesting to consider the concept of Downlow (DL), machismo and ethnic based ideas of masculinity in different ethnic cultures.
