This crap never ceases to amaze me...

A bunch of thug cops who apparently are prejudiced asshats 'raided' a gay bar in Texas, beat the crap out of one dOOd... you have to read it to believe it...

This mess is unbelieveable (http://slog.thestranger.com/slog/archives/2009/06/30/fort-worth-police-chief-that-faggot-had-it-coming)... then again what would one expect from Texas? (I know not everyone in 'Tejas' is like this, but come the frack on)

Discuss.

What's more disgusting is what passes as journalism these days.

What happened is horrible and sick, I hope the officers lose their jobs and then some over this.

But the style of representing the news doesn't help build educated awareness and understanding. It's not just this news source, but everywhere I seem to look, there's no more unbaised reporting of news - everyone's gotta put in their biased emotions into it, and that's when it stops being good journalism.

You start off with a head line, " Fort Worth Police Chief: That Faggot Had It Coming ", then read and later learn it's not even a valid quote. Then again, looking over the website, it's more of a blog than a news site.

O believe me, I think that's bullshit as well, however its the reflection of the attitudes of the sh*tty ociffers (mispelling intended). I'm not critiquing the journalistic quality, I'm more pissed at the actions of the police. For the same article, here's a link to the Dallas Morning Newspaper website:http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/localnews/columnists/jfloyd/stories/063009dnmetfloyd.3bddb2c.html

Welcome to the days of "drive by journalism". It's all Thunderdome and stuff lately!

Normally, I would side with the police in most things, but the facts do not back up their stories in this case.
Even a half-assed lawyer can rip their story to hell. I hope that every cop involved is punished to the fullest extent of the law.

If the kid dies, then the officers involved will, at the very least, face the probability of get charged with manslaughter 1, which is a criminal offense.

After the dust settles, it will probably come to all of the officers in the raid losing their jobs, all charges being dropped against the people they arrested and civil suits being brought against the city, the officers involved and their chief.

Let's see these violent homophobes wiggle out of that.
