I'm really impressed how much bi visibility there is going on at LGBT Pride events this summer.
So far this year that I know about, from the events in the UK there have been bi presences on Halifax, Sheffield, Birmingham, Swansea, Edinburgh and Oxford. I know there are plans afoot for Brighton, London, Manchester and many more.
I think this is the most visible we've been at Prides in this country in a good few years, which in turn is brilliant both in highlighting that there's a B in that LGBT and also in helping isolated bis find the wider community.
How's it going other places?

we had less than 30 marchers in our pride contingent in LA. but the bisexuals were moved up from 130th to 93rd in line, so that's a slight improvement. we got plenty of cheers, but a few people rolled their eyes and gave us insulting remarks like, "make up your minds!"

I know a gay fellow who's told me for 40 years that I could NOT be bisexual; there's no such thing!
Last time I saw him, about 8 years ago, he asked me if I was STILL confused?

As far as I know, no bisexual community exists in Italy. I went to 4 Gay Pride parades so far (starting 3 years ago), 2 of which national. This year's pride parade was last Saturday in Genoa and it was a big success (about 200.000 people were there), but the media barely mentioned the event...
Bisexuals are practically invisible here.
I am seriously thinking of promoting a bisexual group in the local Gay/Lesbian associations...

There's always some hecklers. 20-something people is a pretty good tally though, it's about what we get for the bi contingent on Manchester Pride I think. :bipride:

It's the only way it will happen - no one will build a bi community unless it is built by us ourselves. There was an attempt in the past to get something going in Italy, see italia.bi.org, might be some things you can lift from there.
And the media coverage... in time it comes. 15 years ago I was marching in London Pride knowing the next day the most coverage there would be one photo of a random drag queen in one Sunday paper. Now several of the UK papers vie to have the most gay and lesbian material at this time of year -- sadly, still just gay and lesbian, but progress still. :flag4:

Ya, I've posted this before:
The str-8 community call me a fag and the gay community say i'm in the closet... :banghead::paw::paw:

i live in victoria BC. and our pride, is this weekend. i will be there with my bi flag shirt on like i always do. there is an alright turn out of people sporting the bi colors. i got a few negative remarks last few years, but all and all a great experience. as usual. the only time i didnt really have a good experiance at pride, was in toronto a few years ago. i had a few gay men, (very drunk) just go off about how i needed to choose, or get out. just ignorant...
looking forward to this year, my friend opened the 2nd gay bar here in victoria about 6-9 months ago. so excited to after party their!
