I just got this e-mail from the shelter that We volunteer at. It is the perfect opportunity to help the animals at a shelter near you.
"Purina and Adopt-A-Pet have a new promotion where-by people can log on to www.bemyhero.com and pledge to volunteer at our shelter, when they select us. This invitation is also open to existing volunteers.
For each person who pledges, Purina will make a $5.00 donation which will be divided amongst the One Hope Network Shelters. The people who sign-up or pledge through Adopt-A-Pet.com will have their information forwarded to us. Existing volunteers are asked to type an asterisk * at the end of their last name so that we know you are currently a volunteer and we need not respond. Anyone who is not a current volunteer, who responds, will receive an e-mail thanking them for their support and will be given information about our volunteer program.
This contest goes on through September.
PS - Martha Stewart was the first to pledge at bemyhero.com and will begin blogging about it on her website either later today or early next week.
