Years ago, on our honeymoon in Sydney, I found this great cockring that was thicker, sturdier than usual, it really gave me a great erection!

Haven't seen it since...have tried many of the gadgets at sexshops, etc, but have found a rubber band works often better..but those hairs get caught in it too...oh well..

Please advise..

ps: use a pump, it has rings that go over the tube you insert your penis in, then pump up the vacuum and push the ring down over off the shaft...it works pretty good, but tends to be laborious and certainly not as quick as just using a rubber band,etc...

ps: I've tried Viagra and Levitra, they both work to some extent, give me a "heavy but not really rock hard erection", but the TERRIBLE sinus headaches after have me quitting those little pills for good!

Cable ties can be used as both cock ring and hand cuffs, very handy as my tool box is full of them.

Exactly what is a "cable tie"? A bungee/elastic cord?

Cable ties are plastic devices made to secure mostly electrical wires. There's many sizes of them, colors, too. Wal-Mart has them by the hundreds. I don't agree about the cable tie; they are pretty unforgiving and could chafe you and your partner. Rubber bands would be better, but again, they're not designed for that and will pull your pubes!

There's different sizes of cock rings and you need to find the one that best suits your size. Nothing's better than a regular soft silicone rubber cock ring that comes with the vacuum devices, or that you buy in book stores. The best ones have little handles on them that will help you get 'em off after you're through. Do NOT leave them on over 30 minutes, or you little THANG might fall off!

Seriously, if you cut the blood off to your penis, for too long, the cells in it may begin to die!

Actually as long as you are used to cockrings you can leave them on for longer than 20-30 mins.

I would not reccomend that a newbie wear them for longer than 20-30 mins but over time your body gets used to them and you can tell if you have problems or not.

I have friends that leave metal ones and leather straps on for hours and days, and some sleep in leather and neoprene cockrings.

I've left leather straps and ball stretchers on for hours and I'll go about my day wearing them or wear them under button fly denim jeans and everything is fine.

Use leather cockstraps or rubber cockrings or even metal machine made ones, and wooden cockrings that are designed for this. When I was younger I did use rubber bands and even leather bracelets but they aren't as effective as the stuff I wrote about above.

Avoid the gel ones that are made by women for men as they're cheap, poorly designed, poorly made and look too fragile, some gel toys contain toxic chemicals called phthalates, and gel ones do not look as good as the ones that are leather, metal, or silicone.

Rope and leather also work quite well if you want to make your own.

Dog, I was repeating the directions I got from my urologist, when he issued me a vacuum device and the cock rings that came with it. I'm not convinced that it'd be healthy to wear a tightly fitting cock ring for long periods of time, regardless of your experience. I'll go with the recommendations of the professional, here.
