It is common knowledge that the majority of straight men and probably bisexual men are turned on by lesbian fantasies or pornographic material featuring two women together. I am interested in seeing if the same is true for straight and bisexual women, when presented with the idea of two (or more) men engaging in sexual activities, or viewing gay/bisex pornography.

EDIT: There are essentially two polls to see if there is a correlative difference based on lifestyle.

Interesting question, and the results seem to be shaping up in an interesting pattern...I thought it deserved to be bumped back up to the top, so I could see more of that pattern unfold.

The thought of my man doing 69 with another man makes me very hot.

Interesting poll. Of course, the results are skewed because of where it's posted. Why would a STRAIGHT woman who's turned OFF by m/m porn or fantasies even come to a web-site like this?

How 'bout a straight wife of a bisexual man, looking for others sharing her experience and offering up support?

But yeah, obviously it's a bit skewed, just because it's on a bisexual site, so obviously there's a lot more bisexual women to vote.

(And yes, I totally voted as a bi woman who gets incredibly turned on by it!)

You have a point. However if Kinsey taught us anything is that almost nobody is entirely heterosexual or entirely homosexual. I Could have asked by Kinsey Scale number but that makes way too many combinations.

Perhaps Straight could be defined as the low end of the scale and bisexual as the middle section. I didn't include the high-end because it seems less plausible then the first two and there is a cap of 8 options.

(Granted I could have done ON/OFF instead of ON/OFF/INDIFFERENT, but too late now)

Well I think this says something about breaking a double standard. I might get hate mail for this but I'm going to say it anyway. I believe that it is a lot easier for women to come out as lesbian or bisexual because among "straight society" (particularly men) two women having sex is a turn on and not generally viewed as disgusting or an abomination unto the lord. (THAT IS NOT TO SAY THAT PERSECUTION DOESN'T EXIST)

Given these results it would seem that woman in general do find two men together is a turn on. I think women should be more vocal about this. If they were, closeted bisexual men (and probably gay men) would feel more comfortable coming out. Double standards would be broken down etc. etc.

Its good for the LGBT cause as a whole is my point.

Seriously. Even though society, unfortunately, seems to have come up with its own way of dealing (or rather, not dealing) with this "uncomfortable fact"- they often undermine it by questioning its validity and pop-psychologizing it. Whether it's a Tyra Show episode featuring women who are attracted to gay/bi men and them putting out concepts like "It's low self-esteem . . . she finds them attractive because there's no risk of rejection for her.", or some professor publishing a paper on the phenomenon of slash fiction ("Women write the characters as gay so they don't have to compete with another woman and feel jealous.", etc.), the overwhelming trend is say that, instead of women just finding it hot when dudes get it on, there is some reason responsible for it, perverting the natural order of things, where she'd have no such desires.

And yet nobody questions the status quo of men liking girl-on-girl action- because that fits in with our ideas of men. It bugs the shit out of me.

Some sexologists have speculated that male fascination with lesbian sexual activity is rooted in a latent curiosity about being a woman and what sex is like from a woman's point of view. Its a bit to Freudian for my tastes (I thought the man was reflecting his own psychological issues on all of humanity) but interesting nonetheless.:2cents:

After four months I have done some number calculations.

Overall:
~69% (100) of all women are turned on by man-on-man action.
~19% (027) of all women are turned off by man-on-man action.
~12% (017) of all women are indifferent to man-on-man action.

WOW!! It is so cool that somebody is joining me in the trend to put findings summaries at the end of polls! Thank you!

I'm pleasantly surprised with these results. I expected the overwhelming majority of women (heterosexual AND bisexual) to vote that they found it disgusting. It's probably too optimistic for me to say so, but perhaps women are becoming more comfortable with and less threatened by the idea of man-on-man affection?

Great point. And I hate the Tyra Show. Whoever thought it was wise to give that woman her own talk show should be shot.
