Here's a random question: does anyone know of any bisexual superheroes/heroines (not gay, not lesbian, but bisexual)?

I know of a super villian that could be considered bisexual.

Mystic from the X-men turns into a man to impregnate her lez over (who was another supervillian, their child is nightcrawler).

The ones that are explicitly bisexual:

John Constantine (Hellblazer, but not the film Constantine)
Mystique (X-Men)
Black Cat (Spider-Man)
Jenny Sparks (The Authority)
Swift (The Authority)
Starman (Justice League)
Blithe (Supergirl)
Icemaiden (Justice League)
Painkiller Jane (Painkiller Jane)

They need to take a cue from TORCHWOOD and add some more gorgeous guys.

Does Thirteen from House, MD count? :)

LOL

how about Angela from the tv show Bones? She has had relationships with both men & women.

"In episode 7 of Season 4 it is revealed that about eight years prior to her relationship with Hodgins she was in a long-term relationship with a woman named Roxie....."

Jack Harkness from Torchwood - he has the power of immortality.

Then again, isn't everyone from that show bisexual?

Besides Jack, the characters aren't explicitly bi, just sexually fluid. Jack is the only one with a history of dating both genders, but the rest of them, as far as we know, are straight... until someone comes along who tickles their fancy.

Owen is a notorious womanizer and sex addict. Seduces a woman with alien pheremones, then her boyfriend to prevent an asskicking, but seems turned on by the dude. Later, experiences mild sexual tension with male villain in a weevil fight club.

Tosh falls in love with an alien in the form of a human woman. It is apparently her first same sex experience and she is nervous at the start, but gives her heart fully. Also seems concerned about what her parents might think.

Ianto has a girlfriend named Lisa who is turned into a Cyberwoman, leaving him available to flirt and eventually screw Jack on a regular basis. He is the only other one who could have a history of being bisexual.

Gwen is not bisexual, unfortunately. She is straight and committed to her boyfriend/fiancee/husband, except for when she's screwing Owen behind his back. She does have a really hot girl-on-girl makeout scene, but it is revealed that she was under alien influence at the time. Still, there's no reason she couldn't start liking it afterwards.

Additionally, in the flashback episode, the Victorian-era Torchwood is glimpsed and the two female agents are clearly into each other. My theory is that Torchwood keeps its agents so socially isolated that they experiment with each other without fear of societal judgement.

Fuck me, I love that show.

I don't really know of any bisexual superheroes, but I know that Saigo, the villain in Eric Van Lustbaders The Ninja was bi. He was also a total asshole. He liked to go to bath houses with teenage girls and boys and slap them around. He was also an equal opportunity rapist and murderer. Definately not somebody you would want running the streets of any city in the civilized world. Nicholas, the good guy, was str8. There is also a gratutitous lez sex scene which really has no part in the story at all...its just there for the sex. But aren't we all?

I used to think Robin/Nightwing (aka Dick Grayson) was pretty sexy, but Batman was always a little old for me. Also X-Man (aka Nate Gray) was damned gorgeous.

Captain Hero - Drawn Together
Ace and Gary...The Ambiguously Gay Duo!

OMG! Me, too!

I acted in a student film in college. iT was a sci-fi film and i was playing an android or something. i thought it looked like nate gray and kept it for a year, which kind of explains why i never got a date.

actually, one chick did dig it and made a pass at me, but when she invited me camping after knowing me for 2 minutes, that creeped me out.

another time, i was in a 7-11 and the girl in front of me turned around and had the exact same do. she and i looked at each other like, holy shit, so... maybe then it was time to lose it.

my dad begged me to get rid of it before graduation, which i did... by shaving my head. :tong: that'll learn 'im.

Haruhi Suzumiya from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. She isn't exactly a superhero. She has a god-like ability to create and is unaware of it. Also it isn't directly stated that she is bi but a lot of fans think she is. It has been stated she has dated several guys in the past but dumped them quickly because she got bored. She does show some attraction to women as well as men. But as I said before, whether or not she is bi is debatable.

It isn't airing at the moment and is probably not in repeats. they are on hiatus between seasons 2 and 3, which will be a miniseries called Children of Earth, and will air sometime this year.

Hmmm... I had to think about it and besides the ones already named, I can't really think of any...

Well, I can think of a bisexual Egyptian god though...

Atum [b.k.a. Rah] is bisexual. It is said that he created life by masturbation. Something to the effect of vigorously working his loins until life spewed forth or something like that... lol.

Strange question...

I guess I don't look up to anyone or have any heroes sexually. I find that I'm such a rare type of sexuality that I have a hard time identifying to others.
So,...not sure. Maybe in time though, who knows?

Interesting question, man this one had me thinking for a few minutes and thats saying alot!! Anyway, my nomination for bisexual superheroes are men who star in Bisexual porn. They willing to put their balls out there for the good not only for porn, but for the good of bisexual awareness. Good job guys.

I'm a big fan of comics, so I can say with confidence that yes, there are.
In League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for example, the character of Orlando is definitely bisexual, but this makes sense because Orlando is an immortal who changes sex randomly and without warning. However, pretty much all of the female characters (be they historical or mythological) that Orlando spends any amount of time with are bi for Orlando. This includes Mina Murray, the heroine of the series, Fanny Hill, Marguerite Blakeney and others. And when Orlando is a male, it's at least hinted at and also sometimes explicitly stated that many of his male companions are bi for him also. ;)

for me bi does stand for a fuid sexuality it is unfixed, it unravels and transcends boundaries, it can change over time, preferences for either sex and idenitification as gay can occur
this has as much legitamacy as bisexual for me

i even use bisexual loosely as my sexuality transcends normative boundaries and its fluidity gives me freedom and expressed my authentic self

there is no fixed bi-identity it means different things to different people and thats its strength the bi community both challenges and can be seen as threatening gender boundaries both gay and straight

i see myself as an individual, I go to gay events as I feel that homophobia is a negative force which this community addresses
the bi community welcomes all, including transgender and whatever else you might call yourself, whether you have exclusive relationships or polysexual ones, whether you abstain from sex or are into fetish/S&M

and thats why I love this community

labels are for jam jars!

love to all

If you're interested in comics characters in general, I heartily recommend you find some back issues of Codename: Knockout by Robert Rodi. There's a bisexual spy named John Thomas that's just perfect. (DC/Vertigo)

lol John Thomas? That was the name that the Gardner in Lady Chatterly's lover called his dick! It is a matter of historic fact that D.H. Lawrence was bi. He avoided drugs and alcohol, and looked down on people who used them.....his thing was sex.
