As we do every year at this time, we make resolutions to enact some changes for ourselves to better our lives. I am wondering...anyone else have some resolutions they would like to share?
Personally, anything this year might bring should be better than the last year I have had. I have faced some trying times this past year and for whatever reason, it seems to have made me stronger instead of defeating me. BUT...it hasn't been easy. I have made a resolution to continue to work on my personal growth...to keep positive during trying times and to try and see the bright side whenever faced with adversity. I know it sounds trite, but this past year has taught me that the old adage is true...what doesn't kill you DOES make you stronger! I resolve to continue to work on myself...through diet and exercise and taking time for ME. I certainly can't be the best I can be for others if I can't be that way for myself.
Anyone else have something to share?

I, too, had a not-so-hot year in 2008. Divorced...failed again. But I know what I did wrong; can't blame anyone else. I have resolved not to cover-up , lie, or redirect the truth with any prospective mate/lover/extremely close friend, about my bisexuality.
I have already reaped the fruits of that decision. This Summer, I met a wonderful guy. Then, later this Fall, I met a girl who fits with the three of us like the missing piece of a puzzle. The girl is also a most amazing person, who I met here!
I can finally see that, through openness and honesty, relationships begin with a good foundation. But, if you have to lie to appease anyone, you should move on. Then, instead of hiding history, past, and current desires, be honest........for there can be others out there who feel the way you do! When you're free, you may meet them. If you settle for less, you will get less!
That's my new me and it's working.

To quit smoking cigarettes... I'm doing damn good so far... down to a pack every two weeks!!!
To get back into the band scene.. My brother (RIP) was in one before he died, I was in one severak years ago, and I think its about time I got back into it!
To go to a swingers club in Cleveland and find out what its like... I heard of one that is reasonably priced for memberships, and Cho and I think it would be something kewl to try out!

As I've said in another post, the truth doesn't always set you free, but it does force you to make decisions regarding your life that may ensure your happiness....the ability to be true to yourself which will allow you to seek others with a like mind and open feelings. I wish it could be as easy for everyone to follow your path but unfortunately many find that total honesty will only rip apart something that they hold dear. BUT..I am so very glad that you've found an honest path for yourself which is obviously making you so very happy today!
Hugs,
Kate

I like your list. Can I steal it, MarieDelta? All except the last one. I don't have a Kate in my life. However, I could add: Have lots of great sex with the wonderful man in my life. (I have a good start on that one already.)

I don't make them because I wind up forgetting about them and putting them aside if I do this.

Hmmm, lets see.
1. To get and stay healthier.
2. To not clobber stupid people who annoy the Chit out of me.
3. To be more patiant. (Falls under the #2 catagory)
4. To Not go totally insane if I find out I have to have surgery.
5. To love and lust as many people as possible in this coming year.
I can 'resolve' to do all of this as much as I can...doesnt mean I'll be Able to, but I'm going to give it a good shot..lol:bigrin:
Hugz Ya'll:bigrin:
