I have an idea for a new nightclub/lounge that for bisexuals to meet and greet... has anyone heard of anything like that?

We live in central Fl and still have not found one. Most clubs that we have found are gay clubs.

Yes, it's called a mixed crowd bar/club, gay bar, and having excellent gay/bidar.

We had one, here in Ft. Lauderdale a few years back, but sadly, it only lasted a couple of years before it closed.
Part of the problem is that it only opened after 9 and was not open every night like any of the other clubs.
Shame, too. It was a good club.

You might want to test the waters first eg by taking just one room once a month or what have you.
People tried a couple of approaches to the idea in London recently in the shapes of the Bisexual Underground and the Fencesitters Ball -- the Ball was the full-on club night and just never got enough people to be viable, while the Underground which was more of a bar space with bi info (leaflets, magazines etc) is going strong. But I suspect that which one will work depends on your target area and how much marketing and running the space effort you can commit to over time.

Have you been to the Townhouse in east Minneapolis? I think it's on University, and hopefully it's still open. When I lived in The Cities, I found it to be very friendly and relaxed. The crowd is mixed gender and equally friendly to straight/bi/gay, although there is a strong same-sex flavor. It's a small bar atmosphere with a small dance floor/stage. They have drag shows once or twice a week, which are kind of fun and funny.

Well here we go then, The beginning of the International directory of bi nightclubs and lounges. We could take it a step further and include meetings and gatherings . Sadly I do not believe it would take up much space but a permanent thread on bi bars, nightclubs, meetings and events would allow us to check whats available there.
The thread would allow us to update openings and closings and add reviews. We could consolidate the entries every once in a while. Perhaps the powers that be would ok them being added as ongoing events in the local events category. This is starting to sound a lot like "one time in band camp".
Well the point is I long for a place in my community just like bisexual.com where bisexuals gather and celebrate being bi. Its a great idea but most areas dont have enough of us to support them.

My feeling is most places do, but it requires organisation, skills and long term commitment on the part of one or preferably several people to make it happen.
Of course I might just be lucky in living somewhere with enough of a population for the critical mass to have been reached...

Have given some thought to this same idea. I think it is a really good idea, to have access to a social group that would of course be bi just because they were going to a "pre determined. Bi Club".
I don't know how practical that is, I agree with the guy that said going to gay clubs and trying to meet people that way is probably the most Practical.
I also think that it would be a possibility to meet people say for instance on line at a site like this?? and try to network a group of local people that would be open to planning get togethers, and possibly have the benefits of arranging
a little bi group sex network.... and then just have the responsibility(??) of arranging a place... getting committments from people that want to attend.. and whatever else you would care to do as far as, food drinks. "entertainment" lol.. so if anyone works this out in my area keep me posted. sounds like a lot of fun.
