The Winds of Change
Times are changing, it is often said.
A moment approaches, passes and then it is dead.
Take nothing for granted and hope for the best.
Plan for the bad times, there's no time to rest.
All that is certain are the earth, sea, and sky.
Change may happen in the blink of an eye.
Even our friendships we must rearrange.
The only constant given is our penchant for change.
Every day sees new records occur.
Before you know it, they're gone in a blur.
You can toil and slave for a needed respite.
Scrimp and save for a day nowhere in sight.
But beware of changes which are a fact of life.
All can be lost in a moment of strife.
The winds of change, while seemingly unkind,
Bring out the best in us, I'm sure will find.
Pick up your courage and in God place your trust.
Face each day bravely, and do what you must.
Draw strength from your family and keep your friends near.
Though change remains constant, it is nothing to fear.
