I know that this is off topic for this site but I beg your indulgence.
While serving in Iraq, Sgt. Beberg befriended a stray puppy and took care of it. She made arrangements with an organization called Bagdad Pups to send the dog Rachet back to her family in the US before being transferred. On the way to the airport, the military confiscated Ratchet and refuse to let him leave the country. There is some concern that the dog may be killed. Sgt. Beberg is also under investigation for befriending the dog since it is against regulations. The International SPCA has asked the military to allow Ratchet to return to Sgt. Beberg's family in Minnesota and her family and friends have launched a campaign to get American senators to intervene.
It would be a great help if you all would sign the petition that has been started at the Care2 petition site. The goal is to get 10,000 signatures.
