Here are some photos taken over this past weekend---the first ones are self-explanatory---I happened upon a small town fall festival as it wrapped up for the night--I was able to catch some fun photos playing around with apeture and shutter speeds to capture some different effects. The next post will have some pics I took on Saturday at some of the interesting and pretty places found in the southeastern part of Ohio that are popular places to visit, especially this time of year now that the trees are changing color.

The rides going into warp drive, Warp Factor 5 Mr. Data, make it so:

At the park, trying some more "artistic" touches to my photos and getting away from the camera's auto settings, as good as they are--they can make you lazy and not give you the truly great photo captures--hope ya like some of these:

Great shots as always. What park is that? I don't recognize it.

The Cincy Museum center will be hosting our caving group doing a rotunda climb next weekend. You might get some great shots there.

One of them is absolutely wonderful!! Even better than wonderful.

I have had experienced the same general region, very often, in which it was photographed. That makes it even better.

Now, I know I will go back and visit before October ends and see all that is so beautiful myself.

Thanks

The first five photos were taken at Ash Cave State Park and the rest were taken in and around Conkle's Hollow State Preserve--all in the Hocking Hills region of Ohio.

What struck me about the photos is that I often forget that we have some scenic beauty in the Midwest. Sometime I think that I live where the landscape is comparable to a billiard table- flat as Muriel Hemingway!
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
