As we do mos weekends we left Shiv an Lou wiv me mum an dad for babysittin wile Kate an me shoot out an hav gud time. Not so long bak as summa ya may kno me adopted Shiv who is 9 yearsa trubble but luffly. She has always called me mum an dad very politely, Mr an Mrs wich is nice. 'Magine the surprise we got 2 day wen we picks up the horrors wen we hear Shiv callin me mum an dad Gramma an Grampa. Cudda knocked me down wiv the proverbial featha. Asked me dad wen this all started an e told us las nite. Me mum asked Shiv evidently wot brot it on an she sed summmat 2 the effect that "Well Fran is my mum so wot else shud I call ya?" O happy days:bigrin:!!! Lil tears seeped outa me eyes..

My Grandmother on my father's side was named Ima and my Grandmother on my mother's side was Fanny. I was always so grateful I never had a daughter to name after them, Ima Fanny would have killed me. (true story, my sister stressed for months trying to figure how to name her girls and not offend by omission. LOL)

Something similar happened to me. After Shameless and I got together. He knew I had a granddaughter...the apple of this granny's eye...he was dead set against not being called Grandpa...but it didn't take long for her to win his heart over and now loves being a Grandpa...Although Rowie is still too young to talk...only 6 months old...I can't wait for the day she calls him Poppa for the first time..just know the tears will wash his eyes....and I will love every minute of it. *He's gonna kill me for that one* Says I am ruining his reputation for being a hard ass....LOL If y'all only knew....God I love that man.
