Funny, I was thinking about making a similar post! Thanks for beating me to the punch AYM3.

I haven't been playing WoW much lately but I have been feeling the urge to get back into it again. I mainly play on my night elf druid on the Khadgar server but was thinking about finding out if there's a realm out there with a bisexual.com contingent...or at least a queer-friendly guild. It's about time for me to roll a new toon.

I don't remember what realm my toon is on right now. I've always been horrible about remembering this because I've had a habit in the past of having so many toons that I just pick one at random and forget right away. Unfortunately, my login keeps saying that I'm disconnected from the server right now so I have to try re-installing the game or something, so I can't even login to check which realm right now. I think it starts with O though.

Truthfully, I didn't know there was anything specifically for anyone of sexual orientation on WoW, so I haven't been a part of any groups of this kind. Truthfully, I prefer to be on my own in the game half the time anyway haha. I don't know if I would want to look for one of these groups specifically considering that I am more of a loner, but if I happened to find a group (or the other way around) that I could comfortably play with, what the main orientation of the group is would not be the first thing I tried to find out.

Haven't had much chance to play since my video card isn't working with any of my MMORPG's. Wife can play on her system, but I have to get a new card to play.

We have toons on Doomhammer and Bloodhoof. One for alliance and the other for Horde.

We also created toons on another server (can't remember which one atm) so that we could play the new races that came with Burning Crusade.

There's Bi guilds in WOW? What are they, where are they and how do we find them?

I have both an undead priest 61 and a blood elf warlock 25 and can be found on the Rexxar server.

We could always start our own on a server ....

I don't know of any bi guilds per se...just thought it would be nice to belong to one if there was one ppl knew about. I'm in a guild now that I enjoy, but they're getting a bit goal-oriented for me. I enjoy a guild that I can chat in, maybe run an instance with folks of similar level, do some raiding...and if we all die trying something, no one flips out...I don't really need much more than that. If there was a guild that was welcoming to bi or other folks, that would be cool. I'm not a hard-core player, I play 5, maybe 10 hours a week at most...but it's nice to have folks to chat with while grinding...and if it's an adult guild with other open-minded folk, all the better. :)

Not a bad idea to start our own. 'Course, I have no idea how to start a guild.

Id even roll a new toon for the occasion to lvl with ya

My toon's name is Cinnidor and I am in Proudmoore. I also have one called Lamby on the same realm but I also have some in Blackhand.

I have a few toons in the guild "Taint" and some others.

If you are ever on that realm and see me around, give me a holla :)

Ok, AndYouMake3 and I have started up a guild on the Tanaris server...Alliance side. Our toons are lilsquishy and rambigent. Look us up if you want to join! We're looking for mature (read: ADULT) players who are LGBT-friendly and just wanna chat and level together. We're trying to recruit in-game as well but we would enjoy having some of our sitemates join up.

We're both playing new toons so don't worry about starting a new character if you don't already play on Tanaris...we can level together!

What exactly is World of Warcraft? A guy I use to work with wanted me to try it a while back, but after I uploaded the stuff my computer crashed and I had to erase everything. I know it is a type of game, but what makes it so playable? I just got back from The X-Games & Las Vegas for vacation and when I picked up my mail I had a disc for a free trial. Basically I just want to know if it is worth uploading it all again. I am not much into games, unless they have a lot of puzzles to figure out. From what I gather it is interactive, is that its only draw? Also from what I gather it is not really a game one can win, is that right?

Yes and no.

WoW is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Play Game, or MMORPG. Imagine a variation on Dungeons and Dragons for the computer, played from a first person perspective. There is no real "endgame" for it.
You create a character on either the Horde or Alliance side and run quests for faction, armor, pets, weapons or other things.

The game itself has a bit of a cartoonish look, which some love and some hate. It is also not as graphics intensive as Eve online, Everquest II or Lord of the Rings Online, which are all pretty graphics intensive as they lean toward a more "realistic" look to them.

Each race has it's own unique characteristics and culture as well and some races feel completely mismatched to their sides. The ultimate evil race in the game is the undead. The rest are pretty honorable, but the Humans are more a mix of honorable and dishonorable.

The game has a floating storyline based around some of the history of the world that the game exists in and there are all sorts of quests that go with some of the subplot and back story.

It has servers that are PvP, which is basically, imho, a free for all, infested with player killing griefers, who get their jollies from making the lives of new players miserable (kind of the gaming equivilent of trolls). Some folks like the PvP servers and will give you more positive info on it.
There are also regular and role play servers. We tend to like the regular and role play.
On all servers, there is the potential to duel other players for honor points. This is an allowable PvP circumstance on all servers. In the PvP servers, it is a free for all, but on the other servers, you have to ask permission to fight another player.

It can be a lot of fun and has a lot of things that you can do. They have seasonal events that happen that can get you seasonally related rewards. Events like a summer festival, a WoW equivilent of Octoberfest and a winter festival as well all happen in the game.

WoW has it's drawbacks, but overall is a fun game to play with a lot of areas to explore, with none of the "zoning" issues that other games have.

WoW also has it's own little following of what we would call "WoWies". Fan/players that make amusing little videos and songs based on the game.

Here's a couple of those. The second one is hilarious:

There is even a hilarious comic based on the game, called "Flintlocke".

No matter what, it is worth the time to try out, even if, in the end, you don't like it in the end.

FYI, i created a new toon, alliance, on tanaris. Unfortunately, i'm having problems with my game so it's under trial at the moment but I'm planning on buying the account and canceling my old one so I don't have a lapse between toons if we are all in a guild.

I am going to have to give it another try. I just don’t want my computer to crash again like last time, but that may or may not have been caused by the game. Anyways thanks for answering.

RJ:lokai:

You're welcome.

We've never heard of WoW crashing anyone's system before, since it isn't as memory and graphics intensive as some of the other games out there that have preceded it. Plus it is from the same folks that created Diablo and Diablo II (coming soon, Diablo III), so our experiences with Blizzard games has been pretty good over the years.

Three servers. Velen, Azuremyst, and Elune (which is usualy very populated). I have both Alliance and Horde on each of the three. I like the Horde best, really. I was wandering if there were such guilds. I usualy play by myself for one reason or the other. I have quit many guilds. :)
