No actually- If you've seen the film, great. No doubt, it is a very well done adaptation of the comic book, but that is not primarily why I started this-
Robert Downey Jr. -
1. I've always enjoyed you as an actor and thank you for getting cleaned up and giving us the best Marvel Comics film ever. Your resilience, professionally and persoanlly is unmatched.
2. You are one FOINE SOB!
No seriously this man turns me on. The more I watch him the more attracted I am to him. He reminds me of that long lost spring break buddy...

I hear what you are saying about him. As for his casting in the role of Tony Stark I think that was one of the most brilliant casting decisions ever made. I have to wonder how hard / easy of a role it was for him.

I was never attracted to Robert Downey Jr. And then I watched IronMan. He had a cocky, sarcastic attitude that I adore. And where did those muscles come from!?!? The scene where he was welding his suit together...I almost dropped my popcorn! I turned to my husband and said "Are you SURE that's Robert Downey Jr.? Yeah!? Damn, he's SEXY!" lol

If you youtube him there should be at least one good interview regarding the role.

The thing I really intended to emphasize aside of RDJ being sexy as hell-and I think many will agree, which is why I personally appreciate his comeback and the courage to jump right into a role that, given the *jacket* he's been wearing over the years could either make or completely destroy him for all eternity-The role of Tony Stark seems to have been tailor made for him, and as you watch the film you get this eerie sense that he is really conveying to the audience exactly who he is as a human being. It gets to the point where you forget "Tony Stark" is just someone being portrayed and start feeling that
the character is just a biographical pseudonym for Robert Downey Jr.
The scene where Pepper Pots asks Stark "never to ask her to do anything like that again" [reach into his chest cavity], and Stark looks at her and replies-
"I don't have anyone else to do this for me."You feel as though that's not Tony Stark more than the actor literally apologizing and confessing that his own-past-cockiness and arrogance is just a mask for his own self-conscious sweetness.

I have always like Robert Downey's work as an actor--I think he has the potential of being one of the great actors of this age--but his substance abuse problems got in the way.
I have not seen the film yet but plan to--I have a list of films to see now--
I do hope he stays clean and gets his life and career on a good path--and from what I have heard about the film and the obvious box office success of Iron Man--I hope they do some more films in the series

We saw the film. It was great. Robert Downy did a fantastic job....he IS Tony Stark, as far as we are concerned.
Can't wait to see the sequel that they had better make.

A-motherfucking-men. . .I almost felt like he was almost born to play that role- - that no other actor could EVER put himself in that suit and become that man.

I never felt like watching this movie but now I do. Ironman wasn't my favourite Marvel character as a kid. I'm gonna watch the movie that's for sure and then let u know what I think about the movie and about him acting in that movie. My favourite Marvel character's and has always been Captain America :tong:
I always wanted to dress like him for halloween and I never did :( oh well

I agree, RDJ did a fantastic job. And I've always found him attractive, too.
And jeancarleo, sorry you never got to dress up as Cap...but there's always this year! ;)
