It is with great regret (but a whole lot of bitterness) that I have resigned from my position as Feature Articles Editor on bisexual.com.

I know people are confused about the status of the feature articles...I wish I could give you answers. But what I can say is that I am damn disappointed that this wonderful community includes so many assholes who deem it appropriate to comment on the photos of the writers—myself and others.

Really, I don't give a shit what you bitter motherfuckers think of my photo. I am confident and cocksure enough to know that I am damn hot. But I am not someone who sits back and takes bullshit from nameless, faceless bastards. You have no right to that. If this were a paysite that you signed up for and were promised hot people of only your type, then sure, your little mind would have something to complain about. But it is NOT so get over yourselves.

The authors of these articles are the faces of bisexuality. They are here bringing you information, guidance, history and fun. I have been honoured to work with every single one of my writers and you should all thank your lucky fucking stars for their hard work. Instead, a group of you have taken to insulting and disrespecting them. Shame on your petty little souls.

Depending on what happens with the site, I may very well be back. I take great pride in this site and I am so lucky to have met and chatted with so many of you. I thank all of you who have counter-commented when some jerk shoots his/her mouth off. You are the community I yearn for and hope to keep building. Unfortunately, I can't do it in this environment anymore at this time.

I hope you've enjoyed the words we've presented. I know I've enjoyed bring them to the bisexual.com family.

I agree with Stuporman. If it were not for the occasional flame from a nasty person on the site, the discussion threads would get kind of boring, no? It would be a continuous stream of "I think I might be bi, what do I do?" and "oh, we all love and support you, be strong," etc. Sometimes it's good to have a total douchebag come in and bash our sacred cows; I, for one, am more likely to read threads that are controversial than threads that are predictably congenial. Just a thought. Let people say mean things, and then move on.

Well my frustration is not that we have just a little bit of flaming and such on here anymore--it is becoming the rule and not the exception.

Now what kind of reasonable, rational, intelligent type of response is that???

Dealing with Bisexualinsocal really reminds me of when I was back in elementary school and kids would get into those stupid kid arguments where someone would say something like "you are butt ugly!" ---"Am not"--"Am too and you got cooties!!!"

As I said in previous posts about Bisexualinsolcal---there is no reasonoing with an unreasoning and unreasonable person!!!

All he does here is go about spreading his nuggets of negativity and nastiness that does nothing to do any good--it only serves to sew dissension and such and while he is not the only one at fault--it is his actions on here that are playing a very large part in serving to bring this place down---and that is I would think --now a very real possiblity that the person that in the recent past has served as the owners of the site's "official face" has chosen to resign thanks to the nastiness, childishness and stupidty on the part of a handful of individuals.

First and foremost, it amazes me that people actually take the time to send nasty comments to a writer on this site because they didn't care for their photo. And to the point that Jon is now angry, and bitterly leaving the site... Seriously, are some people just that bored, that they have nothing better to do with their day than look through pictures and send nastigrams to the people they don't find visually appealing for whatever reason? Jon, I'm so sorry to read this. I know it is hard to ignore people like that... but I hope you won't stay away long.

Beyond that, I can't believe some of the comments that have been posted subsequent to Jon's. Good grief, people. I wish just once I could check out the forums and not see countless instances of needless bickering and bitching. I've posted on this general topic before. I don't know... its a real turn off to the whole site. I also think it is disrespectful to Jon in this particular instance.

As much as I agree with the state of condition on this site..this thread is NOT the place to tackle these issues...this is to speak of Jon and the fine work he has done for ALL of us to share. The articles which he has been able to present here have been interesting, informative and most enjoyable to read. He has brought articles to us to enlighten us and showcase the talents of many. I know that I shall sure miss him.

Jon I wish you well in your future endeavors and please try and come to visit.

After reading through that whole thread about the Angie Bowie article, I am kind of disappointed that the author is quitting the site. There were only four or five members who posted truly derogatory things about his picture. Why let a few people push you away from a job you like?

Well that has been my attitude for a while.

I have posted positive responses to some of your stuff all along....

A bit of objectivity does help.

You REALLY pissed me off when I first came on here and the remarks deserved it. I was new here and WE were a tad reactionary.
As I posted before, time reveals issues. We all have them.
We are supposed to be here to talk them over and even fight over them. but basic civility is needed in all human communication or it cannot progress..

Truce was and is offered since that last big thread on this silliness.
