I made the statement in the chat room that men and women don't understand each other. Thinking about this it occurred to me that understanding is what we're all here for. Understanding our own as well as other people's sexuality. As someone who has Parkinsons Disease I know how frustrating it can be to be misunderstood. My mum bless her heart, offered to give me some sticks thinking that I needed them. Seeing that my main problem is a shaking hand and my legs are okay, why should I need sticks?

I'm sure that many of you have experienced the assumptions that are made by people causing them to prescribe before diagnosing any problem.

Anyone got any similar experiences?

This is sort of the same idea, but applied to a different issue. Ever been to a country where people speak a language other than your own? You can hear people yell at you, slowly and painfully, as if you were deaf, from miles away. I know people are well-intentioned, I do not need them to yell at me, I just need to get used to their accent(s). Yelling does not make it any easier. Thanks for trying, though :)
