I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate those information about our Transgender sisters. Especially on Lynn's story which was such an interesting story. I have decided to post it in my Transgender yahoo group.

You are very welcome.

Our Transexual sisters and brothers come from such a variety of backgrounds, it always amazes me that someone can make general statements.

Gender is not bound by race , circumstance, culture, inteligence, or wealth. Transexuals come from all backgrounds, from the poorest to the wealthiest, from among those of average inteligence to the genius levels(Lynn Conway is obviously one of those.)

Transexuals have ben part of all cultures throughout history. The only vairance is how out those transexuals were.

I guess I am saying that we are a normal part of a human society, and that to judge us is to judge society.

Anyway, you are very welcome.

thank you, for your participation.

Marie

Marie,

Just want to echo the sentiments of Deliah. The story of Lynn is one of courage and perserverance. As the friend of someone in a specialized field, I too see the frustration and agony that she goes through...wanted to be a woman on the outside but having to live through day to day life with collegues and customers who may not understand. She takes this all in stride but the hurt is there and I do my best to be a supportful and understanding friend...I give hugs as often as I am able....hard since we are on different coasts. Also know that I will be here for you to Miss Marie.
