Getting onto chat

I am having a difficult time getting logged onto chat. I have the latest Java and have turned off my firewall to see if that is the problem. I just thought the chat room was down but was able to get on this morning for a bit and then couldn't get back on. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

I was going to say to download the newest version of Java as this can help but you've already done that.

I REALLY don't like Java chats and I think that they're very unstable and crash/lag too much and I wish that more sites just had IRC channels as people can access those easier, they're more stable, you can use a Java pop up chat if you want to, and you can do so much more with an IRC program than java.

Try using mozilla firefox instead of internet explore. I had the same problem until I switched.
