Thanks to much reflection, and reading this website, I've come to a realization: I will never be able to participate in a 'typical' closed hetero relationship where there is no outlet with men.

Women are great, pretty, sexy etc. but I cannot quit men forever. I actually think it would be irresponsible/pointless to quit having sex with men.

I have'nt had sex/been with a man for over 3 yrs, but that took discipline...and discipline can only last so long. And if someone likes same sex activity, Why should they forego it forever? Life's too short, it seems misguided and conformist.

Now I wonder though,..can I give up women indefinately?...don't know yet! don't really want to, hhmmmm....:)

Self-deprivation leads to over-indulgence. It's the same reason diets don't work. Eventually you're going to have that chocolate sundae. So you're better off not trying to deprive yourself of either gender.

But then there's the whole fidelity issue. Perhaps polyamoury is more your style. Just have to keep the lines of communication open between you and your partners. As long as you're completely honest and open, you'll be alright. It's just a matter of setting up guidelines in advance that all parties involved can agree to.

Your salvation will be to find a partner of either sex that recognizes sex as play which allows outside participation.

I agree wholeheartedly. You can go the route mage suggests with one partner plus playmates or multiple partners, just have to make sure everybody's on the same page.

I agree whole heartedly with Herbwoman. If you deprive someone of something that they long for...so to speak keep it under lock and key....when they have an opportunity to try the forbidden fruit the go hog wild and overinduldge. I have seen this often with friends who had strict moral upbringing...when they went off to school they were wild.

My personal opinion is that if you present something in ones normal day to day life, know that it is there if they are responsible enough to partake of it....be it any substance or activity...it shall be used in moderation.

Just my two cents.
