No, I don't agree with that. It's a real sexual orientation.

Not everyone has youth/teenage same gender attractions and some may have opposite gender attractions only during this period or some can be asexual and not have any at all or not discover them until they are an adult or in their 20s or even older.

This way of thinking has been discussed before in late 19th/early 20th Century psychology about homosexuality when it was originally thought that if you're homosexual (or something other than heterosexual) it meant that you were simply in a latent stage of development or some bullshit.

Well, I'm definately not grown up in my head. I'm also ad/hd, which makes me seem even more teenlike. I don't know if those issues are the cause of my high sex drive or not, but all I know is I can be mature when needed and playful when appropriate. Knowing when to be either is the key.

....no I think bisexuals are just adults who took note of the results when they carried out their same sex and opposite sex teen experiments (physical and emotional) and found they could derive pleasure from both sexes. Consequently they did not become completely "trapped" into being gay or straight by the words and actions of others whose views are reinforced by the so called norms of society.

I don't think so, no. Some bisexuals may fit into the category you describe above, but by no means all -- likely not even most.

The problem with the question is that the label "bisexual" covers so many possibilities. And as we know from previous discussions, we bisexuals can't even agree among ourselves what "bisexual" truly means!

So perhaps some adult bisexuals are still teens at heart experimenting with sex. But I don't think that covers the broad spectrum of bisexuality as a whole.
