This subject has already been covered. (Check past posts) Trans people are human beings and like to be treated as such. Not like exotic animals or an oddity. I too know trans folk. I see them for who they are, good and caring people......just like most of us.

Try "transgendered person" or even "trans-person". And I WOULDN'T make the faux pas of using the term "tranny" either unless specifically invited to do so. ;)

These days I believe the correct term in LGBT is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans. I think transperson is just right.

Just say T-girl. It's short abbreviated for Transgendered Girls.
I'm a transsexual and usually open about my "T"-gender identity in a site like this. But in the real world, I am very discreet of my "T"-gender identity. I keep myself stealth and as passable as I can. Which I think I am doing a pretty good job at it.

Most real transsexuals like me really find the word shemale, ladyboy, he-she, gurls, and sissy really offending because it shine the lights that we are an ornament.
Now try using the word T-Girl. It's so easy, a caveman can do it!! LOL

Shemale is perjorative. It would be the same as calling a woman a wh@re.

Shemale is a term often used in the pron industry and as such makes transwomen into objects.
