View Full Version : Serious Question about Bisexuals/gays

CHODE
Jul 14, 2007, 1:31 AM
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Chode, I'm from Cashville Tennekey, and I'm a straight male. However, I do enjoy visiting sites like meatspin (www.wowomg.com) and goatse (goatsemarathon.com), or as they're more widely known across the internet, shock sites. I take great pleasure out of tricking my friends and family into looking at these sites (mostly gay porn). As a serious question to the gay/bisexual male community, does this type of material offend you or disgust you in any way? I know my friends are straight and they're totally disgusted and shocked by what I trick them into looking at, and I am too, I just find it hilarious. But like I said, does this type of stuff shock/offend/disgust you in any way? Are you just nonplussed? Are you aroused? What happens when a gay/bisexual guy looks at meatspin? Would it even be considered funny to trick a gay guy into going to meatspin? These are all questions I want sincere answers too.

Thanks in advance

Well I'm bi and I personally find the second site utterly repulsive... the first I don't really care about... it's more just funny than anything else. Although I must admit to having used the first to freak out my straight friends on occasion! ;)

Bi male here, and the first one is pretty funny, the second is not for me. But to each their own. If I would have had my rathers, I would not have watched the second site if I would have known.

I don't like being tricked or misled just for someone else's pleasure. That in itself is shocking and repulsive to me.
I looked at the sites. The first one was rather humorous. The second was not anything I care to see again.
Had I been tricked into seeing something like that completely unaware, I would reconsider the value of my relationship with the trickster.

The first site was ok, infact have seen that before. But there is seriously something wrong with that dude on the second one. That is gross and I would be offended by that. I am a straight female married to a bi male. I have never been offended by gay sex but that is just wrong!

I have to agree with some who wrote before me. I wouldn't find this funny. I would probably question why you thought it was funny to show me that.

AMEN to that Kitten!! I simply CANNOT imagine what sort of pleasure one would get from "tricking" someone to look at something even the so called "trickster" finds offensive. Seems a little introspection is called for.

You might be grossed out, think it disgusting, but why would you be offended?
It didn't offend me. No one got 'hurt'. He seemed to enjoy it, although you couldn't see his face. I wouldn't want to look at it again, but I've seen enough horror movies in my time to walk away unaffected.

Either way you are showing something to people who are clearly not into what you are forcing on them (by tricking them), and that is just wrong.

Most people who aren't into these things won't be offended really just grossed out, and why is that funny to you?

Is it their shock or something else?

You should look into why you are doing this, I think you have other motives than just simple fun. There are other ways to have fun.

Meatspin is funny, and not that gross. The second... that comes under "stuff we knew existed, but didn't want to be reminded of."

I know shock humor is funny, but after a while, it just becomes puerile. I know being a little bit immature is par for the course, but if you wanna just be puerile, stick to whoopie cushons.

I think CHODE needs to re-examine his statement about being "straight"!
1. He is posting on Bisexual.com
2. He is looking at gay pornographic material
3. He is sharing said material with "friends" - perhaps to give hints or "soften the blow" (no pun intended) when he comes out!

That's like saying someone's a criminal because they're black, wear baggy clothes and listen to hip hop music.

Taylor, I don't think that is a good comparison at all. Sorry!

Fair enough.

But- -

There are straight women who post on this site, and we don't doubt their orientation.

Among straight men, same gender contact is an odd form of humor and social contact... I think the phenomena is called homosocialization. (if I am wrong, someone please correct me)

To read motives beyond what he says is no better/worse than what gays and straights do to us. . .we resist that, and to apply it to someone else is inconsistent at best.

For now... take him at his word. If he PM's you and asks you to give him a blowjob... then you know for sure.

I think its just childish to trick people like that. I didn't even bother checking the content of the websites, its just a stoopid thing to do. period. I would immediately block you, or if I knew you in person, I would add you to my list of people to treat as a chump. That is, if you're over 15 years of age... because I could forgive someone below 15 for acting like such a jackass, but above?

Taylor is correct that not all people who find homosexuality humorous are secretly gay, but tbh this sort of behaviour DOES smack of...

Uh, for the record, the one on top in meatspin is a tranny, but it can pass for gay porn. I also find goatse completely disgusting, but there's just something magical about seeing how disgusted your friends can be after they look at it. Maybe i just need to see a shrink or something. Thanks for the intelligent responses TaylorMade and dafydd. I'll take this into account when i meet a gay person and the opportunity presents itself to trick them into looking at a shock site. I see now that meatspin is only really shocking to straights and amusing to gays/bisexuals; so when i do meet that gay guy i can trick, i'll be sure to link him to goatse so I can really shock him.

Thanks,

I love humor, light humor, dark humor, all humor.
I need humor to carry on with life.
Humor highlights that being a “real” human means at times we all are, at times, very “inelegant”. We laugh at jokes about others because they mimic us. Their folly is our folly. Sometimes, the humor is in the way we use our mastery of language to give double meaning.

However, why is there joy in making friends, (anybody), uncomfortable and disgusted?
Is it funny causing discomfort to others?
Is it the feeling of power over others that gives us pleasure?
Is it funny to set people up to make “fools of themselves”?

What is humor these days?
Is it really necessary to cause discomfort or actual harm to others before we laugh and are satisfied?

I have to say, the first one would not open up for my computor, which I may be grateful for. The second, however, did and.....I found it to be quite disturbing. I can only think of it as rather cruel.

And, I'm sorry if this is mean, but....I don't think it's very nice of you to use a forum of nice, honest people as a springboard for nasty jokes to play on your friends. In fact I think that it's quite possibly a very juvenile and insensitive thing to do. Sorry.

I don't think my response was particularly any more intelligent than anyone else's. Those kind of sites don't bother me much. But I understand why it might other people. If you're meeting strangers to shock them at their computer via email at a later date, how do you know they are shocked? Therefore do you get the satisfaction?

Uh I don't think so. He asked a question and stuck around for the answer.

If he wanted to troll, he'd of posted the links w/o an explanation. He doesn't need "help" or anything...I hate to break it to you, but to shock people into seeing stuff they were NEVER meant to see is a form of gag humor. It's the worst form, and kinda selfish - -but that alone isn't a sign of mental instability. It's just a sign of being an asshole. And being an asshole isn't a mental illness.

Denis Leary put it best in his song... titled... well, Asshole.

DENIS LEARY - ASSHOLE

(Spoken)
Folks, I'd like to sing a song about the American dream.
About me, about you, about the way our American hearts beat way down
in the bottom of our chests. About the special feeling we get in the
cockles of our hearts, maybe below the cockles, maybe in the subcockle
area. Maybe in the liver. Maybe in the kidneys. Maybe even in the
colon, we don't know.

(Sung)
I'm just a regular Joe with a regular job.
I'm your average white suburbanite slob.
I like football and porno and books about war.
I've got an average house with a nice hardwood floor.

My wife and my job, my kids and my car.
My feet on my table and a cuban cigar.

But sometimes that just ain't enough to keep a man like me interested
(oh no) no way (uh-uh)
No, I've gotta go out and have fun at someone else's expense
(oh yeah) Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
I drive really slow in the ultra-fast lane,
While people behind me are going insane.

I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, such an asshole)
I use public toilets and piss on the seat,
I walk around in the summertime saying "How about this heat?"
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's the world's biggest asshole)
Sometimes I park in handicapped spaces,
While handicapped people make handicapped faces.
I'm an asshole (He's an asshole, what an asshole)
I'm an asshole (He's a real fucking asshole)

Congratulations, Choade...you're not a troll or anything special like that.... you're an asshole...just like 25 million other men in America and probably about 2 billion men around the world.

"Practical Jokes" are not practical or jokes. If a "friend" of mine "tricked" me as chode does, he (or she) would no longer be counted among my friends. It's really simple... you treat people with the same kindness and respect you'd expect for yourself.

1st, me: I'm an old fart, Bi-Curious (still have never had any sex with males, but over the years developed interest), and have seen these kind of "shock images" before - as movies in the mid-seventies.

My response "back then" (I was ~25 yo):
I went to a gay theatre out of curiosity (?) and watched a poor (but good color and graphics) movie with the story-line that this was a psychological study of Narcism. The movie focused on gay identical twin males who were fucking each other. I remember watching the good looking guy enjoying being fucked in the missionary position. I found myself shocked, mildly repulsed and astounded. ... the images locked into my memory! I subsequently would run into "gays" in normal life and simply found that they had such a diffferent view on life that I never could connect. They weren't/aren't disgusting or evil, I just think they are emotionally stunted or distorted. Personal opinion, no offense intended to anyone.
I think it was the same theatre, but anyway, I watched a gay flick that showed male Fist-Fucking. I was genuinely repulsed and disturbed. No sexual compatibility at all! How can anyone enjoy this kind of activity?? That is how I felt about the <goatse> web-show. There is a humanly disturbing component to these "erotic" activities: they really can be physically damaging or even fatal!!

My reponse now:
I find the <meatspin> action simply homo-erotic. I am amused by the 360º spin on the presentation, and simply note that my own "spin" would certainly have less than half the diameter developed by the guy on top. In fact, i find myself a little curious about how it would be to experience that particular type of action!
However, the <goatse> action is sicko and is as humanly disturbing to me as is the Fist-Fucking I had witnessed before.

Further comments:
I am in communication with a Bi-M with whom I hope to eventually meet and seem to have a lot In Common. I always felt straight, not gay, but am now Bi Curious. I sincerely believe that experience and circumstances lead all of us to our active sexuality. Nurture not nature. We all need contact, release and especially: acceptance and validation. If limited, inadequate or simply "not enough" in the accepted hetero variety - then other options exist and we fall into them. The defensive mindset and aggressive attitude of the gay community makes them (in my mind) very different from the Bi attitude. All of us should try and keep our own humanity in mind, and keep things in perspective. If some supposedly "straight" guy wants to jerk everyone's leg over shock-visuals, such is life and so what! My new Bi-M contact had the best response about hetero- vs. homo- eroticism: pleasure is pleasure.

Chode had written at the top of the thread: "I know my friends are straight and they're totally disgusted and shocked by what I trick them into looking at, AND I AM TOO, I just find it hilarious".

Tricking people in the way Chode describes is not only juvenile but IMHO speaks to a lot of aggression towards his family and friends. Chode, maybe you should see a professional to help identify the sources of your hostility and to help you deal with them.

I think CHODE needs to re-examine his statement about being "straight"!
1. He is posting on Bisexual.com
2. He is looking at gay pornographic material
3. He is sharing said material with "friends" - perhaps to give hints or "soften the blow" (no pun intended) when he comes out!

1.There are all types of people of all genders/orientations here, yes including heterosexuals.

2.As he wrote they're "shock" sites that are meant to shock or disgust, and lots of heterosexuals and some homosexuals and bisexuals (as shown by posts here) find the images to be shocking or disgusting.

3.I wouldn't say that. See above. I know many gay and bisexual men who find the idea of seeing a prolapsis/Prolapse like the one picture (hello.jpg or the goatse.jpg) to be disgusting and horrible, and lots of gay/bi men who aren't into anal sex at all and even the ones that are into it don't want to see someone's stretched out anus.

These links have been spread ALL over the internet and people send them to their friends to gross them out because they think that it's funny.

Yes some people are into intense anal sex like using big toys and fisting like the guy in Goatse marathon is into. Even heterosexuals.

It's not a big deal and we shouldn't see these things as being taboo or disgusting since they're not in the long run. There are a million worse images and things that people can do to each other or themselves that aren't being shown.

Meatspin has been posted here before anyway.

I personally don't either.

But I've seen on people's profiles how they're turned on by a prolapse or how what's called a "rosebud" by some people is a turn on and a pleasure to rim.

I've seen that happen in anal fisting porns and I think it's just something that comes with the territory and sex.

I also was told by a friend of mine that is into fisting that some men and women actually do desire and want a prolapse like that, since it's visual proof to them that they've been fisted and reached their goal of being fisted/fist fucked.

I've seen Spin before, it's just sexual silliness.

However my first thoughts of the poor man with the prolasped anus were that he must have some really interesting health problems, and some serious mental health issues.

It was just sad to me, not arousing or even particularly shocking. I've been around 'my guys' too long to be easily shocked. Just really sad to see someone abuse his body so badly.

FerociousFeline

Personally, I find any situation that displays unchecked mental illness as entertainment to be repulsive and socially non redeemable. By making entertainment out of someone else's need for self mutilation, those people doing that exploit someone who has problems. When a person's frantic need to get their itch scratched has surpassed the borders of reasonable safety and begins to threaten their body's ability to function correctly, obviously it's time to check in and take a look at what motivates such a potentially damaging desire.

To get your kicks out of shocking someone else by exposing them to such illness actually indicates mental illness on the part of the person who is engaging in such behavior. You must ask yourself, why does it turn me on to show people something that I know will make them cringe in empathy for a person who is obviously out of control?

Perhaps choad or whatever his name is...........is the guy in the pic?

In any case, it's wrong to take delight in hurting others. It's not up to any of us to say what's hurtful to others, which is why we have social rules that indicate this kind of behavior is wrong. (which is why doing it is shocking in the first place).

Grow up dude. Get help.

Hrm....that second one really wasn't all that disturbing to me.

For those of you who were, he told you it was something he grossed people out with- so why did you click on the link? I'm sorry, what killed the cat? Yeah, get pissed at him for your own lack of ability to control your curiosity. "NO FRED! DON"T PUSH THE RED BUTTON!!!!"

Besides people do and have done painful and "mutilating" things to their body in a variety of ways: piercings, tattoos, a whole cornucopia of body mod stuff like stretching ears, necks, binding feet, corsets, etc. And for what? Beauty and/or pleasure. Many find it worth the pain.

So....how is this guy any different? If its his thing, its his thing, and he isn't harming anyone else. So, unless you've tried it, you don't really have a foot to stand on to judge it. And even then you can say it doesn't appeal to you. Anything else is an opinion, and a judgemental one at that. And you can have judgemental opinions. Just don't try and pretend they're not judgemental and try to justify your opinion as some sort of overarching standard, because that makes you an ass.

My response:

First thought: Ow.

Second thought: When someone is saying a woman is a major whore who's been around the block and then some, they make comments on how loose her pussy is- so what would this guy be then in that context?

Third thought: I supposed he doesn't have trouble pooping.
