Makes me glad my stuff is made by Astrazeneca. People like me who depend on neuroleptics to lead a for lack of a better word 'normal' life are at the mercy of corporate scumfucks like Eli Lilly and Company :eek2:

I was initially put on Geodon, made by the nice people at Pfizer. I got the hell off it when I read the PI sheet warning about it doing scary shit to the electrical current in your heart, especially if a heart murmur is present, which I do have :yikes2:
Pfizer BARELY escaped a black box warning for this.

And people wonder why I don't trust Western medicine...even moreso now that I've had that LOVELY allergic reaction to Celexa.

Pharmaceutical companies cannot be trusted. Call me paranoid, but I believe that when caring for human beings becomes big business, human beings are going to get screwed over big time and not in the fun way :(

And let's not forget about our good friend Glaxosmithkline and Paxil,

The problem with SSRIS (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) and Multiple Reuptake Inhibitors that tweak Dopamine and Norepinephrine is thus. In severe/psychotic depressions, ofter these drugs give a person JUST enough clarity of mind to carry out a plan, like say SUICIDE. No fuckin bueno. A lot of this has to do with withdrawal and the abrupt chemical shifts caused by it. For this reason, Prozac is the only SSRI approved for use in adolescents, due to it's extremely long half life, which makes med compliance less of an issue.

Ya, I was on Lexapro twice. Initially it made me manic as hell. Later it was used for anxiety and it just made it a thousand times worse. Lexapro is like the new and improved version of Celexa, which I've also taken. I can't mess with these types of drugs anymore. It's a bipolar thing- antideps just make me loopy as shit. As you can imagine, this makes my depression particularly hard to treat :(
