why in the world does every medical building seem to have this real need to scare the livin' bajesus out of every mortal soul in the building, buy posting the worst possible pictures of every disease known to humanity??
seriously! it's to the point that we can't take our autistic daughter to the doctor unless she's in dire need of being super traumatized mentally for the next decade!!
like for crying out loud, can ya'll find at least SOME pictures of something we want?? instead of exactly every concievable way of how we're going to die???

Last year though I was in hospital for an op and had a luffly little room all to myself. Posters of nice sunny days and lovely hills and mountains. Wonderful thing the NHS here.. what did I wake up to? I was suddenly in a completely seperate luffly litle room all to myself..resplendant wiv two posters.. 1 of a semi naked and very yummie Kiera Knightely.. the other of a a very hunky Brad Pitt... maybe he aint Johnny Depp but as guys go he is better than most!
Wot more can a girl ask???

Solomon,
I am not sure what you are referring to. I have been in a number of medical buildings and hospitals in the US and I have found nothing that I would consider shocking or disturbing. I have seen (rarely) historic pictures of "the first surgery" kind of thing but nothing that I would worry about my children or family seeing. Overall, the building that I have been in most recently has a number of abstract pastel colored art work I think made to make one feel at ease....
maybe you frequent the wrong doctors!!!?
