A question about locals in the paper....

I was talking to my sister in law today, we had a good chat.... She suggested a way to find people to date and I wanted to know if you all thought its a good idea???

She suggested placing an ad in the local paper BUT get a P.O BOX so people can write to me or something lol (that way Im not tracked down to my addy)

What do you think?? Has anyone on here done that and got good dates??

I don't know cause I would want to state Im hearing impaired and its pretty clear Im the only one around here who is. So wouldn't want someone like my parents to read it and "yell" at me lol

My first question would be....do your parents normally read those kind of ads? If not, then I wouldn't worry about it.

My second question would be....is there another way to word "hearing impaired?" Just so it's not quite so recognizable as being you if they did read it....

My parents might not read that part but other people I know could.

Not sure about hearing impaired. ummm maybe just disabitly?? meaning it could be anything. ?

Hey tasha I just wanted to say that once you got a po box they wouldn't know who it was i just wouldn't put my name on it that way if someone did come across it they wont' know if it was you or not. The hearing impaired i dont' know how else to say it. I would just say hearing impaired i wouldn't say nothing else i would be truthful. That way you would only get the real people, you know. I hope that you are doing okay today. lil bit

Ya. I don't mind curious people who just want to understand more about hearing impairment but there are some people who are so rude "oh Im having nothing to do with you" act. lol THOSE people don't deserve to know me then hehe

I don't know about Canada but PO boxes are very popular in USA for any anonymous purpose. Cheap too. You can just throw away any ads or responses you don't like.
