Hi!

My cousin sent me a wedding invation which says "Tasha + Guest" and she needs a RVSP a month before the wedding. (so I have till May to response)
Right now I have no guest but Im worried what IF by the time the wedding date comes I DO have someone I want to bring??

Would it be ok to say 2 ? Even if I end up being by myself, but at least a spot was reserved for me just in case I do have a date? That way I wouldn't have to call her AFTER and say "oh, I changed my mind, I do have a guest to bring!"

Help Thanks :)

TashaYes RSVP for 2 because you will more than likely find someone to go with.

I am an event planner and as such have been asked this question often. I have always been a proponent of replying for the number of guests invited. This way the host and or hostess will have the maximum number of guest to expect. If as the date approaches and there is little possibility of your having an escort, I would call and advise the family so they may take that into consideration when the give the final count to the food purveyors.

I`m single & allways except invites for 2 so if I meet someone I can take them with me but if I don`t meet someone before a week before the date of the gathering I always let them know that I`ll be going alone. :bibounce:

Say yes to two. Its just easier than saying one and then trying to arrange an extra place at the last minute if you meet someone, and if you end up going alone you can always say you friend cancelled and you get double the cake.

It is better to RSVP for two so that your hosts have more rather than less to provide for their guests...And I am sure you will find someone to go with you... :paw: :paw:
