First of all, shave with the grain. This is especially important with the pubic area. Then always use a new razor. Persoanlly I use the gilette Mach 3 turbo with their shaving cream for sensitive skin

Have any guys out there ever tried depilatory cream like Nair or Veet - was thinking of using it for a sac and crack job.
And have any braver men than me gone for the full bac, sack and crack waxing? Sounds like a whole lot of pain to me.

If you have sensetive skin things like Nair aren't a good idea. I know someone who tried that, and it took a layer of skin off with the hair. They peeled like you would with a sunburn. Not a pretty sight and painful.

ouchy - thanks for that piece of very valuable advice ;)
I knew there had to be a catch or waxing and shaving wouldn't exist.

i have practiced body and genital shaving for years..in my experience.... stay away from any product like nair.... first of all they tend to not work on course hair and pubes tend to be very coarse.... they are also extremely irritating to the sensitive skin that surrounds the genitalia....
my suggestion is to very carefully trim as close as possible with sissors and if its the first time.... use a high quality shaving cream formulated for sensitve skin.... and then... TAKE YOUR TIME.... razor rash is nearly inevitable the first few times.... but once the skin adapts.... it diminishes, and eventually goes away.
as stated before always go with the grain...
personally... i have found dry shaving works best for me since my skin has adapted... its far less likely to slice off the tops of the hair follicules which is the main cause of the little red bumps...
more than anything else,,, take your time and enjoy the process... and have patience.... in a little bit of time the skin gets used to it and in my opinion.... its well worth it!

Been shaving for a number of years and it definitely counts as part of a fetish for the male of the couple here. I'm able to actually shave both with and against the grain and I occasionally don't use anything more than plain water on myself during a shower. I will only use a dual blade razor though, because anything more gives me serious razor burn and I prefer to take a long, very hot shower beforehand. I also don't shave more than a couple of times in a week at most. My skin just goes nuts. Proper timing and body familiarity can easily help you time when to shave and not shave based on your play habits, body needs, etc
I *always* trim whatever I'm going to shave first - electric trimmers for women actually work the best in my experience and then shave with the grain. I've gotten good enough and have a preference for the smoothness that comes from being able to go against the grain as well but that takes time, practice and the willingness to deal with the occasional ingrown hair. I'm also not always up to putting in that kind of concentrated effort - but I know lots of people who habitually go in both directions on the grain. You can reduce after problem with a product found on the net called 'Tend Skin'. It's essentially liquid aspirin and can just about stop ingrowns completely. You can also use women's facial moistuizers that contain Acetyl compounds (aspirin is acetylsalicylic acid) and they'll help reduce that sort of thing better than regular lotion/aftershave.
If you're into creams to help you shave - I can actually reccommend using conditioner (as in hair conditioner) if you want something thinner than shaving cream (I can get lost and miss stuff admist all that foam) that will work in a similar fashion. There's also some stuff called 'Coochy' cream, which you can find all over the net and at most adult stores which is similar to conditioner (it's thinner yet moisturizing) specifically for shaving sensitive traditional and non-traditional body areas (pubes, chest, face, armpits, etc). You can also use a heavy lather of plain old soap, but I wouldn't reccommend that unless you've got a good moisturizer to put on your skin immediately afterward when you're still moist and maintain an overall habit of good moisturization in the area.

for my back and shoulders, I previously used dipilatory creams such as Nair. Of course I always had to get my wife to help out. But now, I don't have to worry as much as I just completed a regime of laser treatments on my back and shoulders---worked out well. Very limited hair grows now.
I have never shaved my pubes smooth---about once a week, I trim closely with a beard/mustache trimmer using the smallest guard. I then use the same trimmer without a guard to trim my balls and around my asshole. My wife and I both like the look/feel. And I like the fact that I don't have to put a sharp razor too close to "the boys". I rarely ever have any issues with ingrown hairs, etc.
Try different things (trimmers, razors, creams, etc) to get different effects.

i do a complete body shave every 3-4 days using women's daisy gilette razors. i always use a new razor. start with chest first, then pubes, then arms, then back, then legs.. lots of shaving cream - regular foam works best for me. always shave slowly and carefully and go over the surface a couple of times..

Well, my hubby just trims his upper body with hair trimmers. Tend Skin as mentioned earlier is great, it prevents ingrown hairs and bumbs after shaving. Coochie is great to use as a shaving creme of sorts.
A friend recently "Nair"ed his chest. Oh my god, it hurt like hell. If you do use that method of hair removal on your chest, DO NOT get any on your nipples. Plus..take it from someone who was near THAT chest....he smelt gross and tasted even worse, even after three showers...

The first few times I tried shaving my pubic hair I ended up with all kinds of bumps...not good. Just recently I took the time and plucked all of my pubic hair (a lot of time, true). Now, every few days I take the tweezer to myself. It gets extremely smooth, and I haven't had any problems with irritation. You might try that.

I've been shaving penis and scrotum for years, using the same electric razor (Braun) I use on my face. It took a while to get used to it, but now it's fast and easy and routine. I shave every other, or everyday, depending on how much time I have and whether I'll be fondling myself throughout the day. I LOVE smooth... :male:

Once the hair is shortened with a clipper or trimmer, use lady razors and shave frequently. The shorter the hair the easier shaving becomes. Shave in the shower to avoid burn, you can use soap or not depending on sensitivity. I usually go against the grain for legs, with the grain for chest and armpits, and its a crap shoot of the genitals, you get to know what works best. Let the razor do the work, don't be impatient.
Don't ask how I shave my posterior...I do yoga;)

I've never used any of those, but I've talked with guys who have. One said that it works, no problem, another said that it cause the worst agony he has ever experiences in his pubic region. That was enough to scare me away from trying it! I used to shave clean in my pubic area, the balls are a pain to do, but I loved how it looked. However, to keep it from getting 'poky' for the ladies, I had to do it every day. Quickly become a hassle, now I just trim to a short length.
