just giving a heads up, a BRILLIANT movie came out on DVD today. It's called Shortbus and it was directed by John Cameron Mitchell (of Hedwig and the Angry Inch fame.) If you haven't seen these movies, I highly, highly recommend them. Both were life-changing for me.

I saw the trailers for this and wanted to see in the theaters, but never found the babysitting. As soon as Rockstarvomit posted this I have been scouring the local video shops to rent it. We finally found one of the two copies hidden in the wrong section last night! Hooray!

This is the most positive, healthy, and beautiful portrayal of sex and sexual orientation I have ever seen. Although I was more interested in the story the first time through, I did get off on the "How to Shoot a Sex Scene" in the extras better than any porno I have ever seen. It's like a chick flick/porno!

Thanks for letting us know it was finally out, Rockstar! I should have just gone ahead and bought it online instead of trying to rent it. It is definitely one I need to own.

Shortbus was great! I finally watched it yesterday. Had to wait til it came out on DVD b/c of course it wasn't shown in any theaters in the midwest (that I knew of).

I had to come on here and see if anyone else had talked about it yet. I really think this movie would be enjoyed by many people on this site. Go to the link that rockstar posted and check it out. Of course Hedwig was a great movie too.

Anyway...go rent the movie. If you like sex, poly relationships, or just something not so vanilla you will enjoy this movie! :bibounce:

This movie is what I've been expecting to be made for a long while. (with sex and relationships in a realistic manner) It is a well made mainstream erotic movie and I can't recommend it enough. It will be shocking to most people or most vanilla minded people as the situations are not in the average mainstream movies. Even though there have been mainstream movies with actual sex depicted in them this one has really taken it to a new level. I expect more movies to follow suit and I applaud JCM in this pinnacle movie.
